Hey, it's not just poms and yanks that use this board. Do you need an OS and monitor? If you want it to last a few years and play current games, you may need to stretch your budget a bit.

He's asking you whether you need a Windows Operating System like Window 7 or Windows XP SP3.

For that kind of money you have to build it yourself, if you can do that I can recommened you the parts for around ~£530 which included a AMD Phenon II processor, 4 GB RAM @ 1333MHZ, 1TB HDDand Nvidea GTX460 1GB.

Very good build for only £530 if you look at prebuild ones even the cheap websites such as overclockers and scan, your gonna have to spend about £950 to £1000 for a similar build

For only £500 prebuildyour gonna get a pretty bad GPU such as a ATi 5670 or worse.

If I was working with your budget I would go with this.

I'd change the motherboard to an Gigabyte 870A-UD3 (more room for expansion) and the GPU to a 6870.

Being an American, when I first read the title of the thread I thought "Where on Earth did he hear that a gaming PC weighs 500 pounds?!"

Nothing like an American perspective.

Please explain your reasoning to changing to a card that is not much better but costs heaps more when the OP has a very low budget.
