@clyde46: Ultra wide screens always look so epic. I would like http://www.pcgamer.com/asus-curved-ultrawide-monitor-with-3440x1440-g-sync-panel-out-this-month/
However, the resolution is more demanding than my current Swift and I want to avoid SLI.

It is pretty badass. Only game I've had not let me play it out of the box at 2560x1080 is Fallout 4 and we all know what Fallout 4 is like. Cut scenes in games though can be annoying as they render in 1920x1080. Some games though handle the transition between cut scenes and gameplay well like GTA5. As for SLI, its been hit and miss for me. Fallout 4 last time I played it flat out doesn't work in SLI, only one card will ever be used. The new TR works but its not great. Been running on one card which is only running at around 70-80% usage and the CPU usage is around 12%!

Try disabling SLI in your Nvidia Control Panel. See if that gives you full usage on a single card. If that does not work, try uninstalling Nvidia drivers and doing a clean install. You should be getting full usage provided you are not hitting a v-sync cap.

That is with SLI disabled. Look at the top left. Only shows one card being used.

Same here, i also turned off sli in XCOM 2 ( game has no SLI support. Odd for a PC exclusive...), and I really wanted to get Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen but heard its not playable on ultra wide.
Had beat the game last night have a 970. One of the most fun addicting games i played in a long time. Love it had a blast they did a good job to me.Some of yall are to damn picky with that frame rate bs..Sorry to tell ya game ran find..

So the game ran and now we must find it? hehe ;)
I finished it also. I think TR 2013 was better. Better pacing and story was more interesting. Rise of the Tomb Raider had better challenge tombs, but they still felt too short and simple. Item collecting is a little bit silly in this new game. So many weapons and upgrades. It is like they are rewarding exploration too much and it is time consuming. This artificially inflates the length of the game.
TR 2013 = 9/10
RotTR = 8/10
I purchased the game through the Windows store for like 9 bucks, so I can't comment on frame rate, but I haven't experienced any stutter, freezing, or slow motion yet. The game feels smooth to me and I do not have high end specs. I left it at the default high settings, but turned off motion blur and did not touch anything else. I see my card was averaging 29-30 on very high settings before the driver update, so it makes since I'm experiencing smooth game play a step down in quality with the new driver.

I agree with this, most people seem to like ROTR better but overall 2013 was a bit tighter and I agree the whole island mystery vibe was more interesting to me than the Trinity bollocks.
still really enjoyed RoTR though.
@with_teeth26: Definitely. Still a great game, but not as good as the previous. I find the writing kind of weak. Not to say that TR 2013 is going to win awards for writing, but it was much more intriguing and engaging. The player motivations were better. Jonah's role in RotTR is so laughable. TR 2013 was also more edgy with some good horror elements. RotTR is still one of the best games to come out since TR 2013.
