What NPC will teach me prospecting at the Northern Camp?Jd1680a

You mean the Bandit Camp? None

Note: Minor spoiler if you haven't gone to Harbor Town yet

As far as I know only 1 NPC teaches prospecting in the entire game (not so sure as I've only done 1 playthrough). To meet the NPC you have to finish the quest where in you have to collect 3 Golden Bowls, the quest giver is in Harbor Town, he's in a hidden room in the brothel. Theres a picture at the left room activate it and a secret passage activates. Once you finish the quest go to the big mansion behind the brothel and talk to the guy guarding in front, tell him the fate of the golden bowls and he'll release the prisoner. Talk to the prisoner about prospecting and he'll teach you.

I've not played much of the game so far, maybe about 3 hours. It seems to be starting off very slow with not much excitement in the combat and way too many silly quests involving talking to people (harbour town). I read that the game starts off slow and picks up later, is this true? And the world map is tiny, I'm guessing the rest of the lands opens up after I've passed the first part of the game, is this a good guess?

the game is set on an island and that's how big it is, if you exclude the underground caverns. however, the detail put into the gameworld more than makes up for the lack of new areas to explore. i would take Harbour Town over 50 lifeless towns in Morrowind anyday of the week.

You`ll play Silent hill 2 and Morrowind.. good tast! ;)

@ Jd1680a, the one will teach you in in Harbour town.. I guess there is no one to teach you prospecting in the Bandit camp.

Hey! Thank you for your tipps. I've got this game 2 days ago and I just can't stop playing it. I haven't even seen there was a pick pocketing thing till I read your message. I don't like cheats and walkthroughs but this is a useful information. I'm sure there's a plenty of other useful hints here but I read this thread just till the end of the first page, I don't want my game excitement to be spoiled before I come to all the adventures myself. This game is so nice. I've been looking forward for something like that since the Witcher was played through with every single quest I found there :)))
