good news :D

Well the game itself is somewhat medicoreventnor
^ This. What a lot of people don't realise is that RUSE is the DRM, the game is so mediocre that no one will even bother to nick it never mind buy it:P
I'm afraid I don't believe this news, for several reasons: 1. The Steam store page for the game lists the Online Services Platform DRM as being included in the game, and 2. the box art on Wikipedia has the warning "A permanent internet connection is required to play this game."
If it is valid, then naturally I welcome the move, although Ubisoft have given no indication that they are scaling back.

Turn around. *points sc2000 at you* oh nos  seriously, the latest pop was the last chance for UBIsoft to impress me and it was fiasco. I actually have to agree with you on that one. The 3 shooters and AC series were the Ubisoft winners. The 3 shooters meaning Splinter cell, Ghost Recon, and Rainbow Six.
Its final and Im not going to change it any time soon UBIsoft=medicore.GazaAliAC 2 is great if we ignore the bad optimization and the DRM :D

Dont take me wrong i like all splinter cell games, but the truth is that ubisoft prefers to screw around than develop a good pc product. Anyway on the metter, if its real, then i guess ubisoft realized that "we gotta check you 24/7" requirements dont sit well with clients.
yeah but i think they own the IPYou people realise that Ruse isn't developed by Ubisoft, right?

Knowing that the developer turned to Ubisoft to have their game published is bad enough.
Further investigating the game, I've also discovered it to be on 360 and PS3...
It went from a "I'll wait for a bargain bin" to a " No chance in hell" for me.
Well, never going to that site again.he Ubisoft DRM is by no means a bad thing, I welcome it with open arms. Unfortunately something that seems to plague every PC gamer is constant whining about one thing or another. If they haven't got frame rates to cry about, they will of course cry about something else, and so the vicious circle continues.

They're from Paris, that's the main reason why they're partners with Ubisoft.
Their previous game, Act of War, was awesome. Best Command and Conquer game ever...
Ruse's design happens to fit within console limitations. It's not a dumbed down game like that Tom Clancy thing from a while ago. You should investigate even further to understand how and why:P And besides, Universe at War, BFME2 and CnC were good PC strategy games.
