I have the 4071 and I sampled the samsung 4061, sharp and sony xbr at comparable prices and this thing beats them all out. Hands down the best lcd i have ever owned and the best one on the market. Get it.

I bought a few things samsung. They always look good and are cheaper but the build quality is crap. Make sure you get a decent warranty.

I own a LNT4671F and have a PS3 hooked up to it. It looks fantastic. Also, with Auto Motion Plus on, you get a cool 3Dish type effect for your games. I'm very happy with the set.

I reckon extended warranties are a must for TVs - they just don't make em like they used to. I reckon I'd want at least 3 years hopefully 5. I probably shouldn't put my 2cents in because I'm not familiar with the Samsung LN4671. But from my bad luck with TVs I have decided I'm going spend a bit extra to get a panasonic or a sony. I know that's almost a cliche but Korean made devices just seem to fail more and singaporean tech friends of mine only buy Japanese. But that's a bit off topic. my Brother bought a Samsung LCD about 4 months ago - it's still working!

The majority of buyers do not get the extended warranty. If these devices are going to fail, it's usually within the first year.

I just came across this again. Your might have "friend" ripped you off. I work at bb. I checked the employee discount on it and it was cheaper. Unless it cost more for the tv to get into canada. BTW your friend can get fired real easy for that.
