Seriously, I wonder what everyone here would say about it if the protagonist was a female and all of the cards were men.StopThePressesI would say that would make no sense. In that world, women who have sex get pregnant (birthcontrol is a very recent invention), and a female warrior is forcible retired by her first pregnancy. It would be reckless and careless of her to risk that. That's me anyway. The pragmatist. :)

I personally wouldn't care.. The only thing I am pointing out is the double standard is absurd.. I am not caring about the nudity cards not being created as so much them being re-edited/dubbed.. When this game has graphic violence and what not.. And the game tries to hold no bars in being mature and realistic in that sense.. Meaning that if your going to edit soemthing so small and ridiculous, you might as well edit the extreme graphic violence.. Infact I think its childish that they edited that specifically.

I commented on there not being any good reason for the cards being in the game at all, and you took issue with that.If I really need to see a picture of a naked woman, I have a web browser right in front of me, seriously.
The problem isn't that there is nudity in the game. The problem is that it exists in the form of a stupid gimmick just for the sake of having it, in a game that does not otherwise do such things. It feels like nothing more than a cheap headline grab or something.

I would agree if it weren't for the fact that the Witcher does anything but that.. If it was trying to get sales on its sexualism it would be that stupid Dead Or Alive volley ball game.. Or other such things.. This seems quite minimal.. To begin with.. And the point still stands.. How is brief nudity (things you can see in a PG13 movie) some how wrong to have compared to the graphic violence and profanity in teh game.... And how is it a stupid gimmick? If it were one it would be the protagonist or some leading woman that seems can't keep her clothes on.. None such thing exists in this game. Thats why I think its specifically do to the fact that we are desensitized to violence even if its extremely graphic, but we can't handle a mild case of brief nudity. .(and thats what the nude cards in this game pretty much classify as)..

It's a stupid gimmick because it's in the form of collectible cards that are apparently meant to serve as a "reward."If I was a game developer, that's exactly what I would do. I'd put together a game with dark, occult, and violent content. I'd make people just as corrupted and selfish as they can get while still being realistic, and make sure the setting was as hopeless and cynical as a Raymond Chandler novel. And then I would throw in some bare nipples, probably in a cheesy and technically not necessary mini-game, sit back and watch as I can sell it just fine that way in Europe, while the US Market demands that I cover the nipples or they won't carry it in retail stores. Not the Jack-the-Ripper inspired serial murders of movie starlets, not the drug using teenagers, not the corrupted religious institutions, not the organized crime side quests, but the nipples. And I would do it just to make a point very similar to the one you just made. :)Thats why I think its specifically do to the fact that we are desensitized to violence even if its extremely graphic, but we can't handle a mild case of brief nudity. .(and thats what the nude cards in this game pretty much classify as)..

First off, I don't think it's a huge deal either way, although other people obviously don't feel the same way. Also, porn+video games = no fun. When I am playing a game, I want to play the darn game. If you want sex, like other have said go get a girlfriend, visit amsterdam or as a last resort, you're obviously already on the internet so...
