So what do you think about artificially limiting the very high settings to dx10 and Vista? If Crytec put the gamers first they would have made the dx9 version look as good as possible, not dumb it down to get a bigger difference begtween dx9 and dx10 to sell more dx10 cards. Let's face it, Crysis was the reason most people went out and got Vista- to get the dx10 graphics. So I can understand if both dx9 users and the dx10 users feel screwed.

Not "Shame on Crysis..." - Shame on the youngsters that write that crap, believing they're "true PC gamers" etc. That was written by the same kind of person that believes that Bioshock owes credit to Metroid Prime. Really?... Is that all the farther back you can remember?

PC Gaming History should be a pre-req before posting...

Doesn't matter if it wasn't the focus, that game still kicked ass and was very unique. On top of that, Crysis is actually one of the most optimized game engines I've ever seen. Just as optimized as the Source Engine FOR WHAT IT DOES.

Think about it, if you tried to play a HL2 level that was the size of a Crysis level on the Source engine, how do you think it would run? Would the Source Engine be able to handle all the AI, physics, and graphics done on the CryEngine? The same goes for COD4 for anyone that wants to compare that POS to this game. The levels are so small and linear, OF COURSE it runs more smoothly than Crysis.

I'm so sick of people telling me that Crysis is poorly optimized. This is truly a next generation game, and people expect it to run on hardware from two years ago?

BTW, I run this game on low - medium at 1024 x 768 and it looks better than Far Cry on max, so I don't know why people say the game looks bad on low settings.
