I am a new player to World of Warcraft and have just started playing the trial version. I was just wondering if it is worth mesubscribing to continue playing after the trial has finished, also interested in your thoughts about the whole game.

Only play WoW if you dont have an addictive personality. Trust me when I say that this game can take over your entire existance if you let it. I played for two years straight from 2004-06. I quit for about 2 years then played a liitle again then quit. Im playing again with the new Worgen race, but I no longer feel this sense of having to play every day for hours on end. Im in control, playing at most a couple of hours a few days a week. Im not worried about running instances or even joining a guild. I just run quests and work on my professions. It is a great game, just dont let it dictate the rest of your life.

I have played the trial a little bit and quite like the concept of it, its seems to be a better brighter version of The lord of the rings online game. I do enjoy it and probably won't get too addictive to it that much when i get into it. I will just see how much the game is monthly then see if it keeps me being interested after the next 10 days. Thanks though.

The real question is how long do you like to sit at your computer? if you say anything other than "a long time" I would suggest not playing lol

Even though its a great game I think you should wait for Guild Wars 2. In my opinion I don't really like to pay monthly. But its entirely up to you. If you found the trial enjoyable go for it.

IMO its not worth it. Ive played it but it never kept my interest since i find it to be very repetitive, but yeah like someone said if you like it go for it.

There are lots of good MMO's.. why dont you play the trials of Everquest 2, Age of Conan, Warhammer Online, EVE Online, Vanguard.. then make your choice :)

WoW does a lot of things right, but it also makes me miss certain things from other games.

Well, if you're ready to buy the game + 3 expansions + the monthly fees and to spend A LOT OF TIME on a videogame, do it because WoW is one of the most addictive MMO out there. Probably the best one yet but it might change soon (thinking of Guild Wars 2 :P). I've promised myself to never subscribe back to WoW because I screwed two years of my life with that game... It's up to you ;-)

I'm amused over the amount of people with lack of any sort of self control.
