Day of Defeat is a great game and orchestra from what I hear is ok. I reccomend Day of Defeat. If you see a dude named Termite say hi!

From actually playing both, i would say DOD (day of defeat) make sure its day of defeat source, though lol. Its a great game, but is very difficult because of high damage from all the guns.

If you want an immersive realistic FPS, go with RO. If you want an easy to pick up, arcade-y FPS, go with DoD:S. Myself, I'd pick RO, and if I did want to go with DoD, I'd get the original.

Depends on if you want a twitch shooter or a borderline sim... Why the hell do people ask the internet what game they should play? Want a great shooter? Try duck hunt.

I've been playing DoD:S for almost a year now and it's an AWSOME game.  I played the RO demo and was very dispointed.

Go with DoD:S, you won't regret it.

I've never played Dod, but Red Orchestra is fun...but some might say it's too realistic.

I have played both. It's fair to say that both games offer different gameplay styles. Being a HUGE World War Two fan, I love them both. DoD: Source is more arcady. It's very fast-paced since the maps themselves aren't really big. But it does require a bit teamwork if you want to be succesful. Red Orchestra is really realistic, alot slower-paced, and requires a huge amount of teamwork. The maps are also HUGE. RO really isn't that popular though. You won't have trouble finding servers but it's nothing compared to some of the other multiplayer shooters.
