One of my friends has a computer that he wants to sell. He offered to sell it for 100 dollars. It's pretty much new, and re-formatted.
It's XP Pro
Intel Pentium 2.80 Ghz Cpu
Memory=1024mb
Pagefile= 299 Used 2545Mb Available
ATI Radeon 9800 AGP
56 GB HD

I don't plan to use it for games, but is it good for it's price?

If your simply going to be using the computer in question for websurfing, email, and wordprocessing (and you dont care about "speed" all too much) then YES.

id say 80 bucks. But if it comes with OS cd and serial key then its a decent buy. Sine new copies on XP around here still run for almost 100$

It comes with all the stuff like Keyboard, Windows Cd, and Cd-Key, and mouse. Now here is a question.

I might be using it to connect to a TV that has VGA. Will it work? I know that my GeForce 5200, and Gtx 260 don't work on the tv, but an 1800x ATi(laptop) works.

Does it matter if it's old? The tv will be my monitor!

Seems like a decent price, especially if XP is legit. Heck, you could probably stick some older games on it if you wanted to-ones dating up to around 2003 or maybe 2004, at the very least.

Na dude just save up $800-$900 and you can build a Core i5 gaming rig for around the 2 prices I mentioned.

I don't need a high powered computer. I already got a gtx 260, vista, 9850 amd. I don't need a better one becaues I usually play at 12xx with 10xx resolution

Sure what the hell, that's a fine price for a web surfing desktop.

That's a pretty good deal. Keep in mind an OS alone cost at least 75-100 dollars lol
