jesus christ, alot of people hating on vista...? why??
Im not a microsoft fanboy, but then again I don't understand the mindless hate towards Vista, just because a few mindless reviewers online, or your less-than-smart friends say Vista is bad, doesnt mean it's true.
I've been running vista for a while now and I have -no- bugs, and I run memory and resource intensive programs such as 3dsmax and zbrush 3.
I can also play all my games, I even installed the fallout series and the game explorer recognized those games with no problems.
You just have to know how to set it up and do a few steps after installing to get it right.
If anyone has dx10 hardware and is screwing themselves over because they hear mindless sheep on forums telling them vista sucks, for the love of god, use the hardware you paid so much for and install vista...
You just need to disable DEP, AEC, get the performance and reliability updates, and run some stubbord programs as admin (run as administrator)...and you are set.
N.B: If you have more than 2GB of RAM like me, you have to do the same thing you did in xp, but xp has a boot.ini you have to modify, vista doesn't, what you modify in vista is the BCDedit and tell it you have 3 or 4gb of ram. It is very important you do if you are a 3d modeler or video composer, since those programs can use all the RAM they need, games on the other hand, are pretty much capped at 2GB.
