The only time I used a controller was for resident evil 4, impossible to play with mouse and keyboard, but this because a terrible console conversion. Otherwise I will never change my configuration even for the best controller in the world.
Of course for flight simulator games it is another history.
This is my opinion but, mouse and keyboard are just perfect!
well thats the point.i dont play racing games and i couldnt enjoy SF4 and ended up uninstalling it.that why i want a controller to add more variety to the games i play.also whats the difference between different kinds of controllers? i see controllers with a stick and some with keys.
ive always wanted to get a controller for my pc ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY GTA VICE CITY WITH KEYBOARD AND MOUSE!

Controller is not going to do that. Unless you play some fighting or racing games, you don't need a controller.
360 gamepad is compatible with the majority of games on PC. And its not like 30$ is a lot. That's less then buying a game.well,i like the mouse and keyboard control, but i feel certain games are impossible to play without a controller.30$? i dont think so.what about those cheap gamepads?

Tip for PC controller users:
There is a freeware program called X-Padder(only about 1Mb in size) that allows you to assign keyboard buttons and mouse movements to gamepad buttons.
I initially bought a controller to play stuff like Resident Evil 4, but this program gives you greater control over the gamepad layout in games with more restrictive configuration options and it can also be used outside of the gamingenvironment.
