Should I get a gpu now or wait for more DX10 cards?

I plan on getting a 7600gt, but I heard that new mid-range DX10 cards are supposed to come out soon at the same price.

Should I get a 7600 now or just wait a while for the DX10 cards? will the DX10 cards be better?

Wait for the dx10 cards, if you want to play games with dx10 like crysis and bioshock then you need a dx10 card and vista.  But still if you don't want a dx10 card then still wait the 7600GT will most likely drop in price

Yeah...wait for the new DX10 cards...with all the problems with Vista and DX9 cards (problems I'm going through right now) its worth waiting for the right compatible cards.

mos def! rather wait for Mid range DX10 like 8600GT/GS or 8900GS or even a X2800XL/GTO ;) my moneys on a 8900GS!

Just wait for more DX10 cards. The 8600GT is probably the best since you are looking for a mid-range card. And they are pin-to-pin with the 7600 meaning that the physical size is exactly the same as a 7600GT.

i would say wait...at least thats what im doing now.  does anyone know when the new dx10 cards are coming
?   i heard april....im itching to build my new pc...sorry asking a question and not providing much of an answer.

Wait. The 8600s are slated to come out next month. There isn't an exact confirmation yet. But Nvidia is targeting April.

i hope april...ive been waiting forever to build my new pc...but i cant be picky cause it has to be a 900 dollar system :). buddggettt

If you can't wait,get a eVGA 7600GT and use the step-up program to upgrade to a 8600GT or Ultra. But like the others said,you should wait.

well i think you should get a 7600GT and wait to next year when there are more drivers available and when prices are lower.

You could consider the 89xx series of cards :)
