I think someone is just jealous that he doesn't have a Quad. Even though technically speaking the Quad is the low-end processor in its family, when overclocked it becomes high-end and catches up just fine with its brothers.
If you don't get the Quad, you're already setting yourself up to fail.

Wow. Why would i be jealous??? I just spend 500$ on new 20" LCD and around 3000$ on new plasma, and around 2000$ for some other things like high quality speakers (speakers and plasma were bought whit my dads money, but anyways) I think i dont have to be jealous on nobody. I can easily get QX6850 now, or another 8800 GTX. But i wont. Waste of money. Ill wait for native quad cores and G100 than make upgrade again. Just saying my opinion.
And please tell me why you think that "if you dont get quad core you are already setting yourself up to fail"??? WTF that means?? C2D will be enough to max out any game this year whit great GPU. No need for quad. Not even for Crysis. Besides UT3 creators already sad that in UT3 you see very little performance gain whit quad compared to dual. Only game that wont be able to be maxed out whitout Quad core (even if you have fantastic top-end GPU), and is announced is Alan Wake.
