C&C 3 if u want action ...supcom is so slow and just keep slowing down as the game go it just take for ever to play one online game and unit are ordinary..for CoH its an awsome game but far from a conventional RTS u have to capture points on the map in order to build realy anoying and C&C3 is jsut perfect and online is so freaken hard and challengingnerdriot
You clearly have never played supcom, and if so just the demo.
Anyway CNC3 is back with some major exploits even with the 1.05 patch. there's now an invincibility bug, NOD has been nerfed so much they're a useless faction, while GDI reign supreme. even though your surveyors are destroyed you can still build refineries etc. Basically don't touch CNC3. It's still a mess.
C&C3 has faster paced games, but GDI is in no way the best and they certainly do not "reign supreme" lol. Until the recent patch it was the scrin who were unstoppable, under certain conditions of course. There are a ton of different strategies that you can execute in C&C3, anyone who just masses mamoth tanks and avatars isnt a good strategy player - and yes it would be dull.SirSlippyz
Too bad that is what MOST of the community does. They spam nothing but one specific vehicle and every patch that comes out just gives more strength to another side. Not one patch has actually helped the game's multiplayer and for as long as the patches continue to do crud, then most of the people are still going to be spamming. I have no idea with who the heck you are playing but every single person I came across is a spammer.
This discussion is on C&C 3 and SupCom. So if you would have started the poll it would have given you a great deal of help. Although my personel fav. would be C&C 3. SupCom is also good but slow gameplay and smallplayingscreen. Fishworm
This is the biggest misconception of supcom ever. The game is NOT slowpaced. It is a fast paced game through and through. If you try playing the game like it's a slowpaced RTS you will pretty much never win a game. I had to learn that the hard way.
Not only that, the whole small playing screen thing was fixed months ago. You can change the UI that you want with the touch of a button.

You are absolutely right. Majority of gamers are small minded. Yes, SupCom is a system hog but it is worth it. I had fun battles and sweet strategies with SupCom. CnC 3 I can never get into it because all the lower units renders useless. For SupCom, any units Tech 2 and Up are necessary (tech 1 is just for initial rush only).. So for all you CnC lovers, go back to school.
I would not get either now...Supcom, Outside of all the fanboys screaming about how great it is. To be honest...Someone said it earlier. Its pretty, its big, its gives you alot of units. But its just boring. And not to mention the specs for it and just ridiclous. C/C3 as many said already, its just a buggy mess for now. Ingrone both.
I would go with WC3, Starcraft, COH, Dawn of War....Something that is more solid and action pace
most of these people just seem to be very, very one eyed fan boys.
both of these games are very good games, get C&C 3 for a very fast paced just pure fun rts, it isnt all that deep unlike supcom but it is very action packed and alot more user friendly and fun when it comes to the multiplayer, he focus is mainly on the battles rather than resource management, etc. whoever said the **** about spamming is basically a **** **** lol, mammoth tanks are easy to counter as any of the races and like most games usually a side with a variety of units will annihilate just massed mammoth tanks or scorpion tanks if you know what your doing.
supcom is also a fantastic game, its alot deeper than c&c3 and there is alot more to worry about in terms of resource management and the amount of units you have available to you. this can be seen as either a bad thing or a good thing depending on what you want in the game. its not as slow as people think but it is still slower paced than c&c3, its the veteran's choice of the two really. its maybe not as just pure fun as c&c but it is far more rewarding and challenging.
so you decide basically, its about preference really. i have both and love them alot but if i could only have one it would be supcom. again though thats just me, you might be different.
I'd recommend SupCom hands down. I have C&C 3 and i barely play it. Soo basic when you compare it to the depth you'll find in SupCom. For those that say SupCom is slow paced you either don't play effectively or your just slow players.
I've played a lot of SupCom matches and they're usually always intense and fast paced. A quick matches will end in about 20 min. Average would be 40 i'd say. Fastest match i've done was 10 minutes in a 2v2 match and longest was just over an hour online
Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of war, or even Starcraft...
But even to answer to your question, I would choose C&C 3. I prefer it to the boring SupCom (in my opinion, so don't try to screw my a** because you prefer SupCom rather than DOW)
Well, depends on your computer. SupCom actually doesn't run to well when you have around 600 units on the screen. I'm running this:
-Windows XP Pro. SP2
-AMD Athlon 4000+ Clawhammer
-2GB DDR PC2700 Corsair
-ASUS nForce 4 board
-GeForce 7800 GT 256MB
-SB Audigy 2 ZS Gamer
The game runs perfectly fine until I network and we build 600 units each. Then it just chugs along. C&C 3 can't handle that much, so it might run better. No idea though...

Ya you need a decent core 2 duo to run supcom well. My p4 2.8ghz chugged mid game because of all the units. My quad core never breaks a sweat in all by 81x81km matches with lots of bots playing with a 1000 per player unit limit.
You can have a terrible video card but an awesome cpu and the game will run excellent (on low settings of course). Reverse it and you'll chug along like crazy

Also try this. It really helps performance wise if you have a dual core.
C&C3 for single player, and the atmosphere in that game kicks ass.
SupCom for the excelent multiplayer, great modding potentual, the amazing GPGnet multiplayer client (you download/rate/comment a map and replayby the click of a button in the "Vault", not to mention automatically check for map updates. Oh, not to mentiuon the great tourny calendar), and the "nearly always on chat" developers.
What does SupCom get like? CHeck this video out: http://youtube.com/watch?v=o4INLP0py7o(it uses the 4th demension mod, which makes explosions more spectacular, concrete for all factions, and more "realstic" walk and projectile simulation speeds)
And it doesnt take forever to get there. On average to battles can get to that point from anywhere to 10-25 minutes, depending on how efficent wiht your economy you are.
C&C3 give you a set of units, and its basically a rush to get the most out.
Supreme Commander is closer to extreme chess on steriods, with hundreds of possibiblities and tactics for each and every map and faction. It takes a while to get comfortable to managing your economy and armies (the "learning" curve of a hardcore war simulation, with a realitivly easy to use interface), but every battle is satsifying once you get to that point.
Oh, and amke sure you have a good PC to run it. RECCOMENDED you basically need a dual core PC. Im on a single core myself, but I cant handle the higher map/player/unit counts, and uber drawn out games.
I reccomend SupCom, and you really shouldn't try the demo, it doesn't represent the full game at all.
Find a friend who has it, and play it.
The skirmish and the multiplayer make the game. Read my review if you want to read all of my thoughts on it.

cnc3 is better its more fast paced the ones who like supcom i pity:P:D

Sup Comm will get slow on big maps, when hundreds of units are in play, unless you have a fast dual core cpu... but that is because it can get much bigger than the others. You can play on smaller maps, at your option. I would say they are all three great games, in different ways... sup commander is great for the massiveness of the game-- the sky is the limit, and some people actually like long battles that are truly massive in scale. C&C3 and CoH are perhaps faster paced, and much smaller scale. I really like the resource management and size of sup commander, but the visuals are better on C&C3 and CoH. really, in a perfect world you will have all 3.
Should I get C&C 3 or SupCom?stouzin
Don't listen to all the fanboys here and DOWNLOAD them both!!! :P
SupCom if you like more to your RTS games then a single layer dumbed down game that is made for console...
cnc3 sucked hairy balls. i bought the game, played it for a few days, got bored, got the trainer, got even more bored, and haven't touched it since. supcom on the other hand, i have had since it came out, and have been loving it. since they released the new patch for it that absolutely ups the performance issues and what'not, it's completely playable and enjoyable. and they fixed some balance issues - in anycase, they really put alot of effort into the patch and it shows, unlike the cnc3 one. nod was always a nerfed up side, scrin can rule supreme, and gdi, just tank rushes. it's stupid. sup com, you try to tank rush the cpu or other player, more than likely you'll not get past their first line of defense, and if you do, your (hopefully) 50+ tanks won't be nearly enough to make a push against the other team.
plus, did anyone notice that in supcom, you can build 5+ nuke launchers and launch them all at once? it's glorious... unless the other player has strategic missile defenses up...
kaboom.
