Should I get Total Annihilation?

Total Annihilation looks really interesting and like a good game and was wondering if it was worth tracking down and playing?

This is DEFINITELY one of the best strat. games of it's time....the graphics at the time were top notch (of course not anymore)...I remember playing this on GOSH I don't even remember what it was called it was the rival to Gamespy at the time I think it started with an M.....anyways that game use to be amazingly fun online.

YOU SHOULD GET IT it is well worth the low amount of money...I need to go find my copy now I wonder if Vista will even run it.

VERY UNDER-RATED GAME IMO THIS GAME WAS BETTER THAN C&C AT THE TIME.

If I order it off amazon (Total Annihilation), should I get any expansions or do they ruin the original game?

I heard the original game is better without the expansions.

What are your thoughts?

The Core Contingency expansion was an outstanding addition to Total Annihilation, why anyone would say it broke the original game is beyond me.
