Should I get WOW???

WoW is great. 14 million subscribers at some point doesnt lie.

Ive played and tried everything...Until Stars wars comes out, this is the MMO of choice for most.

Thats completely not true. WoW is so popular because it fits into the lives of casual AND hardcore gamers all around. If you SUCK, you will be booted from raids...Ive seen it and done it (being a GM for a while). Can you be good in PVP and "suck" at the game? NOPE. Can you have DECENT gear and suck at the game? yes...all of the heroic gear which is CRAP nowadays anyone can get. But when you start raiding after ToC. If you "suck" you cannot have Kingslayer...and even if you do, you are probably in the less than 5% of the population.

I say give it a go. I used to play it off and on and it can be fun, but it can also be really boring. Don't listen to people who say it will steal your soul; If you have any sort of self-control you won't let it absorb your life (how the hell does this happen people?).

Nowadays, a new level 80 runs heroics over and over again and he will be ready for icecrown citadel. If you would've asked me this question last year when Ulduar was the epic tier, then I would say you should defintiely play it. Now, the game gets mind-numblingly boring after 2-3 weeks at being 80. If Wow keeps this emblem and raid structure for Cataclysm, then there is no hope for reviving that epic feeling in this game anymore.

You should get it. I liked it when i played and i will soon be getting a two month play card for the game. It is fun exploring and finding loot and buying and selling stuff.

I tried it for a month and I thought two things:

1. This isn't all that it's cracked up to be, but it's still fun.

2. Do I really want to spend $180 a year on this?

I decided that I didn't, and I also wanted to play a variety of video games, and not just one. So I didn't renew my subscription, and frankly I don't care about WOW anymore. I tried it, and it was okay.
