[QUOTE="Lulekani"][QUOTE="Ameer27"] I think they should limit themselves to 0 days per week. Meaning they should: VANISH altogether! But for me they already did, since I already quit that damn thing. For the last few days I haven't logged in at all and since I posted this thread I didn't even miss it. So that's about a week without WoW. That's the thing with MMORPGs. They tempt you to play and once you get into them it's so hard to leave them. BUT, fortunately, when you leave them for a few days to weeks, you start getting withdrawal symptoms. And that's what's happening with me now. And I'm so happy it is. Come to think of it, what's the point in playing a game that literally never ends?Mauro_Rosati

Especialy one that isn't even fun.

Your post isn't fun. And you ask also why you get moderated, right? You should shut up more often and stop doing stupid blogs.

LOL. "my post isn't fun" ? I find it weird how WoW has so much in common with a Cult. Now thats funny.

I already said that I decided to quit. A few days before I posted this and since the moment I posted it, I haven't even logged in to WoW. Didn't even miss it. That's how I quit the last time. I just stopped playing for a few days then I lost the desire to go back. Also this time I have lost most of the desire to play. Can this thread be closed please?

Since you are aware that it is a issue I would quit now. There was a time when I was hooked on wow, everything else seemed boring compared to playing wow. I have never been hooked on another game as much as I was with wow, I am glad that time in my life is over. In the end it was a waste of time, being hooked on anything is unhealthy.

I completely agree. Good thing all in all combined I've played WoW for less 10 months probably throughout my life. And to be honest? After the first month it starts getting boring because there's basically no purpose to the game. I just wanted to play until I could raid, but then I thought to myself how stupid it would be to waste hours upon hours raiding with online friends when I could be "raiding" with my real friends and have more fun.

Some people are'nt blessed with that logic (or any logic at all). They get pulled in like a sailor to a siren.

No actually I know how to put limits to myself, but with WoW things seemed to get a bit out of control. But I got it nailed now. I defeated WoW. Oh wait, I did a feat! I beat a never-ending game! Whoohoo! Lol xD Anyway, it wasn't that hard quitting it. I'm now thinking to log in for the last time - to wipe my characters off existence. Last time I quit I played for 6 months straight, and then all of a sudden I decided to quit. And you know how I got back? I was talking to my friend once and somehow we brought up the subject about WoW, so I decided to download it and try it another time maybe I'd like it. I liked it at first, but like I said, it starts getting boring with time, although I admit it's enjoyable. No more enjoyable than other games though, or than other activities in life. I feel much better since I quit.

Hmm... I think I see what the original poster did there. Remove "good sir", and the commas and read it again. You might want to switch the places of "not" and "is". Lol xD

I had played WoW for about 6-7 months in the past, and just 4 months ago I returned. I'm enjoying it to be honest, but it's taking a whole lot of my time. Lately I've been trying to prevent myself from playing it, but this doesn't always succeed. Since I started playing it again, I haven't beat ANY other games, and I very very rarely play anything besides WoW, compared to when I didn't play it, when all my gaming time was devoted to other games. Now not only my gaming time is devoted only to WoW, but also a lot of my time of which I'm supposed to be doing something else. Since I returned to it I've started socializing even less than I normally do. I was just starting to socialize more which is a moment I've waited for my entire life, and WoW kinda ruined it...

Do you guys think I should just uninstall that damn thing from my PC and quit it for good? It's kinda hard for me though...

i played wow for like 6 years straight. all hardcore raiding and pvp from about 8 moths in way back when it launched, and it was the best and most hardcore gaming experience ever. but like you, it wore me out, l got angry with my friends, got physically sick from playing so much (12-16 hours every single day), my whole life was wow - it was A BLAST without a doubt / crazy fun, but i couldn't control myself anymore and got sick and had to quit. now all video games seem like weaksauce noobstuff. but i feel A LOT more relaxed now and no longer feel the addictive pull to go back. i do have it installed and log in to talk to friend and hang out and do some light casual stuff every now and then and want to go back to hardcore raiding (MAGE FTW!) but i just can't do it. it screws with my life in too many negative ways. it is still my favorite game of all time (nothing ever even came close) and i have been gaming since like 1978 or something....

Wow. That's interesting. I'm glad you could get rid of it finally. I will stay away from this game as much as I can from now on. And yea, mage ftw lol xD Frost mage. But, it's all past now, so screw it. :) I'm now back to my original life and gaming life and I'm enjoying myself much more this way. I returned to playing the stack of uncompleted games I have, and I'm having much more fun in a shorter amount of time. They are giving me the satisfaction I need in a much shorter period of time than WoW. I started calling my friends again and going out with them and I returned to do the usual stuff I have been doing lately before returning to WoW. That's how I quit the last time. :) Just pulled out, then lost the desire to go back.
