The topic says pretty much everything, theres a bunch of BIOS updates on the Asus website after my version (0401) like improves system stability, higher dram frequency support etc, The latest update is the version0610, would you update the BIOS?

Btw the motherboard is a P8Z77-V-LX Thanks alot.

EDIT: Here's the Asus site:http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/P8Z77V_LX/#downloadclick on download tab, select BIOS

It's generally easier and much safer to update BIOS now so yeah you for it if you want but if you aren't having stability issues and you don't need high frequency dram then i wouldn't bother. My motherboard has an update as well and I don't have a need to update it so i'm not going to.

If my PC is working great? No. I don't mess with updating the BIOS unless I need to.

Dont do it unless you absolutely have to. If anything goes wrong then you are screwed.

With a new computer I generally give it the latest BIOS before doing anything with it. Sometimes with new boards they add new features with later BIOS releases, or improve overclocking stability etc. I would read the changelogs and see if there is anything really game changing.
