I'm getting it anyway, i just need to decide if i want it as my main OS or my secondary. (putting a different OS on each hard drive)
specs:
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz
2046MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT Kakashi_132
With them specs id have it as secondary, Vista is very power hungry, uses around 750mb - 1gb at all times so without a ram upgrade it wouldnt really be worth it, but with a P4 id consider upgrading cpu and mobo and then adding more ram.
oh and make sure u get a 64bit cpu then u can get 64bit vista
I would not upgrade to 32 Bit. I had Vista 32 Bit for a while, and I absolutely hated it. But then I changed to Vista 64, and it's beautiful. The main perk about 64 is ability to have more than 3 gigs of ram, which is certainly helpful when running Vista. Granted, there are still bugs here and there, but I have been happy with x64 for months now.WeaponXMerc
you can use 4gigs of ram in 32bit vista just download service pack 1 :)

I don't see how you can hate 32-bit Vista and love 64-bit Vista as it's exactly the same, functionality-wise.
Besides, it appears he doesn't have a 64-bit CPU.
