should i upgrade? when?

Current Specs:
p4 2.66ghz
1024mb pc2700 ram
120gb hard drive
ati radeon 9800xt 256mb

I was thinking of upgrading to:
Penryn qx9550
x48 motherboard
2-4gb pc6400 ram
500gbx2 hard drives running in RAID 0
Nvidia 9800x2

The upcoming penryn and x48 motherboard seem to be pretty reassuring, but what's holding me back from beginning to purchase my parts is the geforce 9800. Apparently it isn't a new chip with new technology, but rather two 8800's combined on one card. Should I just purchase a single 8800gt and wait until the REAL next gen card comes out? Or just purchase the upcoming geforce 9800x2? Oh and what's everyone think of the Penryn 9550?

For the vid card part, I would go with an 8800 GT and wait for other new cards to come out. Not much is known about the overall performance of the 9800 and whether it will be worth it to pick it up.
