To be honest, no I personally wouldn't like it. I think every platform deserves it exclusives. But of course I wouldn't object to CDprojekt doing it, it's their business. But I have to question these somewhat ambiguous questions from mainly the console crowd when the question of porting even becomes "Why isn't being ported?", as it just reeks of self-entitlement. Especially when the fact that the developer is PC eccentric and independent - meaning they can actually have a single platform focus instead of having to listen to shareholders. They're not Microsoft or EA.
That may have sounded more bitter than it really was, but it's just something I've noticed. When have you have mainstream gaming sites asking in a interview for even a browser based PC game, if it will be on consoles, you just know that there's a force behind it.
Without a doubt, this game should be released onto the consoles. It's just that good. I wouldn't mind a replay on my PS3...
Plus, the UI screams "Console!" all over it already, so a porting job shouldn't be too hard. If you don't get what a mean, look at the inventory menu and the context-sensitive actions for opening doors and jumping off ledges and such.
I totally understand what you saying and it's true. There is a business side to it. It all depends if the developer wants to "cross over" or not. If they are going to, I hope they remain true to the PC platform. DICE would be a good example of a multi-platform developer. Build around the PC platform first and foremost. Selfishly I would rather it remained a PC exclusive, but I also would want them to stay afloat. So I wouldn't mind as long as The Witcher 3 will come out.To be honest, no I personally wouldn't like it. I think every platform deserves it exclusives. what about the general audience thought? Do you think W2 would be well received by 360 gamers? I know it would be for the Ps3 community based on the fact many enjoy Demons souls. And how about it getting into the hands of underage gamers? PC gaming is harder to get into so there's less "immature" kids in the community.Tsuanthony
so you think the 360 fanbase don't know how to handle games of a certain difficulty?
Honestly, Witcher 2 needs to stay a Pc exclusive.. If the developer wants to make a game for the consoles then so bee it but I cringe to think what would happen if they degraded the game to the point to get it working on consoles.. When I saw the Gothic 4 game and the developer crash and burn on the same quest the TC is thinking, i'm a bit horrified to think what might happen to the Witcher series and developer if they did something similiar.
Now, I do believe the devloper could make a "witcher game" and put it on consoles but witcher 2 might be stretching too much.

what I was trying to say was that not all xbox gamers buy Rpg's like Mass effect 2 for the right intentions. With their highest sales going to First person shooters like COD or Halo, why do you think ME2 did so well ? @__@Please Log In to post.
