i just bought homecoming off steam, and i'm not impressed. i dunno if its just me, but the combat sound effects are pretty meh, and the game probably as optimized as it could be. i mean, besides just setting the quality as low, med, or high theres no control of the graphics. and it seems the framerate takes a really tiny drop when something new loads in (like a fifth of a second, but still its annoying, not that that uncommon for most pc games)

after playing it some more, i can pretty much confirm its an awful port. the optimization is just awful. a game with such meh graphics shouldnt have any issues running on my pc (i can play crysis at half high and highest settings), and yet whenever too much is going on the frame rate dies. the sound effects are awful, and the game is clearly not meant for kbm. its like they put no effort into the transition

The port is not that bad imo. Ive played both 360 and pc versions and there is not that big of a difference imo.

The game is just not that good on any system imo.

While the game ran fine for me for the most part, I can confirm that there are slight pauses but since they're so small I can forgive these. As for sound, the dialogue volume can be very low during cutscenes. Oh and beware of alt-tabbing, the game WILL crash if you do this. For the most I enjoyed but really not the best SH. I brought this game for 44 bucks when it first came out, how much is it now?

I have heard rumblings that the 360 version of the game actually performs the best...:?
However, I'll also go out on a limb and say the game just sucks across all platforms. I bought it for 360 and took it back within the week. Silly story (obviously I won't spoil it in case you are still playing), bad graphics, glitchy sound, and an obnoxious "combo" system for the main character. You know, because he's supposed to be a military man.

Just spam the knife and you win! Dodging is a problem though because it takes a split second for him to actually respond! The last boss was also rather easy cause I saved up all my shotgun ammo and just pumped two full clips into him.
