I say that is medium res, low res would be in the 10x7 range - guess people is saying it's low since most/more people are getting or have monitors that can do at least 1680x1050 or 1600x1200
[QUOTE="BounceDK"]Only super geeks will say it's a low res, hell I still play in 1158 something and guess what .. it looks fine!mbukste1152x864? i'm content with playing @ 1024x768 :P i haven't really tried gaming above that though :P

I never run higher than than 12x10.
My 19" CRT can display up to 16x12, but only at an irritating60 MHz refresh rate.

I don't need no 24" in fact i really don't need anything computer related thats expensive as hell,i'm conetent with gaming @ 1024x768,even though if i decide to move up to 1280x1024 my CRT also supports that.I never run higher than than 12x10.

60Mhz.... WOW, i wish mine could do that!

 You know what I meant. 60 Hz.
LOL, yeah i knew what you were saying.
But in my opinion playing a 60fps is really all I need.
1280 is average, it is by no mean low and if anyone did say that they dont know anything abotu PC's.yoyo462001
Yeah its the usual and most common nowadays.

True but the point is, most ppl can't run games at decent fps at 12x10. Remember that the rigs ppl have on this forum represent a very small percentage of the population.
Nice pc how does it run bioshock? I have a e2140 @ 2.6, but my new video card doesn't come for a few days.nmaharg
cpu is fine but what's you gpu? bioshock loves powerful gpus
My standards must be different, because I consider: Low res: 640x480, 800x600 Medium res: 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x1024 High res: 1600x1200, 1920x1080, 1920x1200 Overkill res: 2048x1536, 2560x1600 Or maybe that's just because I'm stuck with older hardware that would melt upon trying to run at medium-high resolutions.NamelessPlayer
I agree with that
12x10 is definantly still in the medium range...but i do prefer to go much higher and yes difference is noticeable at 1920x1200. Its not cheap though. Its just as people are saying, there are some killer rigs out there, but most others have trouble playing high res with max settings. Darkfire6247
i have the same moniter as yours with an 8800 gtx and a quad core. You gotta agree playing bioshock or any RTS on a 24 inch widescreen changes the feel of the game.I feel so much more immersed with a larger monitor.

Well now that you mention it...i do feel way more immersed into the game than my old monitor. Expecially Bioshock, being an immersive game.

So is that why [H] pointed out how the 8800GTX was the very first single card they had that allowed them to play Oblivion @ 2560x1600? Dude, do everyone else a favor and stop posting until you learn a few things.
