Which game is a better game for pc? Just wondering because the enhanced came out for pc recently and its really tempting to pick it up.

Witcher 2 is the better game (in everything), Skyrim is the better sandbox game (since it's the only).DanielDust
This, pretty much.
I gotta go with Witcher 2. Looks better (a lot better). Plays better. Better story. Its just not as big.
I got a new video card and am playing through TW2 on maxed setting. Its just amazing. I like it more after owning it for several months.
I don't know. Skyrim captivated me more, but the Witcher 2 has awesome combat, great graphics and somewhat iffy voice acting.
i dunt even like the witcher 2 much but skyrim was pretty poorly made so witcher 2JigglyWiggly_
lol and then there's this guy
I'm only about halfway through W2. But I have enjoyed Skyrim much more. I can't even play W2 without it redownloading the whole 17gb game everytime there is an update, which has been roughly weekly. Doesn't CD Projekt know how to install patches without requiring to reinstall the whole game?
Don't know why every says W2 combat is so much more "complex"? Really? You start with two sword attacks and a few magic spells. You just gotta know what works best with the type of enemies. Is that really much more complex than the countless weapons, spells, shouts, and special powers you get in Skyrim? At least when you walk in Skyrim it doesn't sound like someone banging on a drum with each footstep. And Skyrim has at least 100 times more things to do and places to explore. W2 side missions aren't any more interesting than Skyrim's, and I think they are less.
W2 roleplaying is no more deep than Skyrim's either. Again, I would argue Skyrim's is deeper.
In short, I can't figure out why W2 snobs act like it is some kind of intelligent, advanced, complex, deep roleplaying game when really it's not. Unless I am playing a different game, there must be something I am missing.
Now on with the flaming attacks from you Witcher lovers; I can take it.

The content they add is very substantial so of course they will be big patches. Also it's not every week. they released 2 BIG patches for TW2 2.0 and the enhanced one. Skyrim has also had huge downloads and a lot of patches so to have that as a point against one game is silly

What sense does it make to force everyone to download new content for parts of the game they already played past? You can't enjoy new content for earlier parts unless you restart the game from the beginning. Nothing wrong with giving people the option to install all that, but it should not be mandatory just to let people continue playing without being interrupted for anther 17gb download. Skyrim's patches are nowhere near 17 gb, And it is a known fact that Witcher 2 has been redownloading the entire game on Steam, not just a patch.I love your sig, its the same as my avy :D Anyway, yeah its TW2. Before EE, and now its even better. TW2 was my GOTY of 2011.Witcher 2 was already better than Skyrim before the EE arrived.

Witcher 2 by a long shot! Skyrim is so bad it hurts me to even watch the first few cut scenes. I couldn't bear it, I had to uninstall that game. DirectX 9 .... *yawn* Witcher 2 is actually really impressive visually, the level of quality in the small details stands out. What I have a hard time getting around in these games is their horrible controls on the PC versions. Like, c'mon guys. It's 2012 and game are getting less responsive than ever. I can't map my controls, really? The menu is so horrible. It is painfully obvious the GUI is designed for a clunky console controller. Bleh!SKaREOSkyrim? Cutscenes?

Also that's a thing with a lot of games out there, not being able to play because of a new patch. Don't put it all on TW2.
And what patch is 17GB? :? It was 10 for me> Skyrim's patches accumulated are pretty damn big
Not exactly, TW2 doesn't have as many choices. But, before the 2nd act, you have to make a choice that changes the ENTIRE 2nd act. One choice makes the 2nd act in this way, another choice makes the 2nd act that way. So it isn't as extensive, but its still important. Though i don't know why this is in a thread about Skyrim and TW2 comparedI really liked mass effect 3 exept for the ending, and Im looking into witcher 2 because of its desicion making in the game, are the two comparable?

No, not really. TW2 is a lot more focused and concise. ME3 had choices that ultimately didn't do much to the overall picture. TW2 has choices that greatly impact a lot of people in the story and even how you see the story itself.
A choices determines where and who you go with in the second act and is very different from the opposite path you can choose. Also there is no moral system, just whatever you do, you do. It's only bad if you the gamer think its bad. Which is the stroke of brilliance in TW2's choices. They don't punish or reward you for them

Can't really compare both of them. Skyrim is an open world sandbox rpg and TW is a story driven rpg.
Skyrim has loads more customisability and freedom to it.
TW has a more stable / directed story with a set main character
Skyrim has a amazing mod community
TW is absolutely beautiful in terms of art stye/graphics
Skyrims graphics are always getting better because of it's mod community
TW is very dark and gritty
I could go on with all the pros and cons. It all depends on what kind of games you like. Personally I love both games. I still play both of them often but if I'd have to go with one I'd probably say Skyrim. I love the mod community and I love modding. So for me, it's the obvious choice.

We agree on one thing, but
superior
The Witcher 2 is the favorite amongst neckbeards. They feel better backing a good game from a somewhat obscure publisher than a huge blockbuster that was talked about for two months straight on every gaming website out there, and that's won probably 8 billion awards. They're both good games. Never listen to the neckbeards!
Overall, I think fans of the Mass Effect series are also fans of Witcher. They are somewhat similar, just different story environments, and TW is a bit deeper on RPG. But the extensive dialogue stuff seems to be a big hit with gamers and make them forgive the other shortcomings.
True story. You two are literally the first two people i've seen who say that.[QUOTE="illmatic87"][QUOTE="GeneralShowzer"]superiorcfstar
I was starting to think it was impossible to think that d:
Kid A is better though...[QUOTE="Cruxis27"]lol aren't you one of those neckbeards? Nah he's a "special" kind of hipster.Whichever one has a kajillion goty awards and is hailed by pretty much every proffessional critic.
Or hey, you can just take the opnion of a few butthurt neckbeards here on GS.

The Witcher 2 is still one of the best looking games out.The opening rendered cutscene in the W2EE does look amazing. Too bad it does not represent the actual rendered graphics in the game.

Even though the Witcher 2 is a far better game, I still had to go with option D. They both suck!SKaREO
If they both suck, then what is a good RPG?
