Great bang for the buck. As long as you can keep your frame rates up.

Microstutter. At 50-60 FPS when I ran SLI most games look like a single card at 40 FPS. Kind of choppy, I also hate LCD TV's for the same reason. Not sure how to describe it. When I got my GTX 50 FPS still looks very fluid, with my old 8800GT's in SLI that FPS drove me nuts.

Has a huge CPU overhead. My framerates in Source games actually dropped with my CPU at stock speeds and 2 8800GT's in SLI (1920 by 1200 everything maxed). As I overclocked it a 1% increase in CPU speed would see a 2-3% increase in framerate, until around 3.2Ghz when it went to a 1 to 1 ratio. After that the frame rate increase was lower, on a percentage basis, than the increase in CPU speed.
