As you can see the picture below. when you have tri sli, each card are stack very closely to each other. my question is. wouldnt this cause the card exp 1 and 2 to overheat as there is no airflow? or is there...

at the back of my gtx260 has no hole for air to flow to pass through the back. so im abit confused.

They do have side vents you know.

but how is the fan getting airflow when its blocked?

I have 2 cards in CrossfireX and they are stacked close like that. My top card still gets airflow, as long as there is some kind of clearence there will be air flow, although reduced. That being said if I run both cards at the same constant fan speed the choked card runs 10 degrees hotter.

increase the fan speed of ur computer and the cards. try rivatuner

Yes, the airflow is reduced. But no, it's not completely cut off. The side vents are even visible in the picture in the TC's first post. As someone else said, if you are worried about temperatures, try a utility to increase fan speed. And of course, keep an eye on the temps, too.
