What do you guys think i know the beta and short but the game to me is very well set up and ontop of that the chat system seems excellent the multiplayer works nice and the classes seem very different fun to play around with. The only thing people are complaining about is the graphics and voice chat support. To me the graphics don't need to be top notch the gameplay itself makes up for it. So tell me what you guys think of the game will you get it day 1 buy or will you guys wait. Day 1 for me.

my only major complaint is how unstable the servers are. blizzard took them down for maintenance at least twice and it crashed (and stayed crashed) during almost all of saturday. from what i've heard european players were having a hard time logging in. and at least twice i had serious lag that almost got me killed (as in "my arrows won't fire and the enemies are not attacking. suddenly, my whole screen is red).

aside from that, amazing game, definitely going to be playing day 1.

Outside of the graphics (which I thought were great, outside of the monk putting his weapons away to attack..) there are some serious concerns about the game play when it comes to choice.. But yet again the beta really shows nothing of this because its over too quickly.. It would be like me playing Diablo 2's first two quests, Den of Evil and Blood Raven, and some how judge the game from there.. Which I know from my experience of the game in no way represents the majority of the game what so ever..

Haven't played the Beta but I'm a big Diablo Fan (one of my favourite games of all time) and so will be buying it Day 1. I didn't pre-order cause I see no advantage to it. I was going to get the CE but my money went to GW2 CE (for the statue).

Been waiting over a decade for this game so yeah, I'm pretty excited. Pre-ordered the CE about 2 months ago.

Absolutely, already pre-ordered it, my most anticipated game on the PC this year so far. I'm primary an online gamer so this continues my fun of the past two Diablo games.

Can't wait. smile.gif

The game was a definite buy until I played the beta... now I'm not so sure, so I'm mulling it over. Not only has it disappointed me on a few levels, it also doesn't seem to run that great on my system. It wouldn't be enjoyable playing through the whole game with stuttering.

It got me interested in the genre again, though.. I've been playing Diablo 2 and Torchlight today.

Well to be fair I'm fairly certain the point of the beta was to test out their servers.

I'd still recommend Diablo 2 to anyone. Definitely worth a play-through, regardless of how old it is.

The two main things that bothered me are the lack of character development and the skill selection/hotkeys.

There is no permanence to any of your character choices aside from your class and gender, which is one of the things I enjoy about ARPG's in general; building unique characters and seeing what works or not. Now you can spend a couple minutes and completely change your character's skill and rune loadout anywhere, as many times as you want.

Regarding the skill selection and button assignment, I honestly have no idea what they were doing with D3. You have like.. four hotkey slots, and each one is unlocked at a certain level. And then your left and right mouse buttons can be assigned. But you can't set hotkeys to easily switch between your left and right mouse buttons like you could in D2. And i feel that you SHOULD be able to, because some skills are clearly designed to fight groups and some designed for single targets.

So the only way to go about reassigning the hotkeys is opening up the skills menu, but when you change the skills it resets the timer on them. So due to the inherent design of this game, it's extremely difficult to juggle multiple skills.. just because they wanted it to be that way, I guess. It's mind-numbing trying to understand the reasoning behind this.

I think I might not buy it. *shocked* I can't believe it. But it seems really dumbed down in the character progression and unless you're completely obsessed with collecting virtual items in a dungeon crawling grindfest, this game really has nothing new or better to offer than then other two.

"Collecting virtual items in a dungeon crawling grindfest" - Wasn't that what Diablo 2 was? "this game really has nothing new or better to offer than then other two." - It doesn't have to, as long as it's as fun as Diablo 2 I will be happy.

Yeah I was reading up on that a bit earlier. Just sounds like introducing more arbitrary game mechanics to have the game play their way instead of how you want to play it.

Hey mate, how long since you last installed Windows? Every time I see you, you seem to be having problems with different games...

I just did a clean install a month ago. This installer issue is ALL OVER THE DIABLO 3 technical forums. I'm not the only one. Why do you always make it out like my PC has issues all the time? BF3 runs great for me right now but others are having a ton of issues. So what then? I suggest going to diablo 3 forums. Agent application is giving people a ton of issues, even people who were playing in the closed beta, even people who are pre-downloading the game with their pre-order digital cd-keys..... it's NOT just me...

It's not every time. I "had" issues with two games. SWTOR and Killing Floor. And BF3.. well, that's like at least 50% of the BF3 population that had and has technical problems. TWO games man. TWO.

I absolutely hate it when people generalize and blame it on user error when it's clearly a widespread problem. I would take full blame if I was being an idiot and not reading instructions. But it's clearly Blizzards fault. Like I said, head over to the technical forum at Diablo 3 battlenet.

SWTOR was the same with connection issues. It's obvious till this day EA can't get their **** together and their servers suck.

It's nothing like Diablo 2, dude. Take of your nostalgia goggles for a second and look at the lack of customization. From skills to appearance. The only thing that will make any character unique is the gear and how cool is gear when the rich kids and 30 year old investment bankers can buy up all the best gear, join a PvP arena and just roll face. On top of this, you have to see how much more streamlined and gear focused this game has become. It's a grindfest, and only fat neckbearded cave monkeys like the lead designer, Jay Wilson, will be interested to play that for any serious length of time.

The BETA is the thing that got me hyped (was trying not to hype or care about it till the actual release), I've been playing it a lot this month and I've already spent more time on this beta than I spend on other 50 (euro - friggin seriously? Gamespot doesn't even support other currencies now, how messed up will this forum get, technically...) games, so technically, I've more than covered the enjoyment and 60 (euro) price with the beta alone.

Crazy. I downloaded the Beta on Saturday and played it a grand total of once before I got bored and uninstalled it.

I'm actually enjoying the beta a lot, but I'm going to stop playing now because I don't wnat to burn myself out before release. Also, I found this shader mod really good. Sharpness feature makes everything crips and clear and not a blurry mess that it was before. :D

Thank you Thank you Thank you. That's what I meant by the graphics looking too smooth or blurry compared to the first videos we saw.

SSvegeta555, you are the man! Downloaded and hopefully Blizzard won't detect it as some sort of cheat or abnormality. :P I prefer "Stronger" or "None" and Effect on, and Sharpness on, of course. :D Very nice find!

Automatic buy and I may just cancel playing Tera and just play Diablo 3 so that way I don't have any subscription to any game. I have preordered the CE for Tera but I think I may just forget about it even though I think it is an improvement in mmorpgs in terms of combat. Heck I can still play GW2 for an mmorpg and will not have to pay fees so ...

DeViLzzz

Not trying to sway you from Tera. As I have no clue about the game nor am I interested in the least bit. Tera's design and art style is "way off." I really don't like games with that kind of art style at all. Turns me off. I don't care how great the gameplay is.. if I don't like the way it looks and it bothers me, I'm not touching it - on a visual level.. not technical level. For example, I could still play Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, or Diablo 2 and it doesn't bother me. Anyways, no offense to anyone. You know what happens with a Diablo game. You will be sucked in for hours and hours. Paired with Guild Wars 2 which is months away, anyways.. you'll be golden.

Didn't play the beta because I didn't feel like wasting 15GB to play for 2 days.

But I'm definitely buying it as I love this type of game and judging from the gameplay I've seen it looks great.

Bandwidth limit? I can honestly tell you that I want Diablo 3 more after having played the beta.

From skills to appearance. The only thing that will make any character unique is the gearSKaREO
Put at least some effort into your trolling. Let's have a look at the barbarian. There are 22 active skills, each with 5 different possible runes attached making it 110. You have to pick 6 of those. Add the passive skills and basically no two barbarians will be the same. I agree that facial customization would have been nice and I don't see any reason why it's not possible but in the end you don't see much of the character anyway when you put on the gear. And of course it's a grindfest. That's what Diablo is. Ugh, now I feel dirty because I actually replied to your flaming gibberish.
