Ok dudes, i FINALLY, after a million years, saved enough to buy me a megachamp PC. i'm looking forward to join the ranks of the Crysis, Dawn of War 2, STALKER, Sins of a Solar Empire, etc. players. The real work i'll be doing with this is HD Editing for my Short Films and Indie Features (hopefully in the near future), what do you say? I'm tihnking on buying another 3 HDD's in the future for a RAID 10 configuration but that's outta the question right now.

So these are the parts I'm buying. I can't buy anything from Newegg because they won't accept international credit cards (I live in Mexico), my only REAL option is Amazon, which is not bad at all.

So here i goooo

RAM: OCZ OCZ3G1600LV6GK DDR3 PC3-12800 1600 MHz Gold XTC 6GB Triple Channel Kits

CPU: Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz 8M L3 Cache 4.8GT/sec QPI Hyper-Threading Turbo Boost LGA1366 Processor

MoBo: Asus P6T Core i7 / Intel X58/ DDR3/ CrossFireX & SLI/ A&GbE/ ATX Motherboard

PSU: Corsair CMPSU-850TX 850-Watt TX Series 80 Plus Certified Power Supply compatible with Intel Core i7 and Core i5

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 640 GB Bulk/OEM Hard Drive 3.5 Inch, 16 MB Cache, 7200 RPM SATA II WD6400AAKS

CASE: Cooler Master SGC-2000-KKN1-GP Storm Scout ATX/MATX/ITX Mid Tower Case (Black)

VIDEO: Radeon HD 5850 (i already got this YEI!)

OPTICAL DRIVE: LG Electronics GH22NP20 22X IDE SecurDisc DVD+/-RW Internal Drive with Software - Bulk (Black)

TOTAL: ~$1,020DLLS (without the Video card, which was $317 with shipping and all)

Any suggestions? is that allright? Thanks for your help!

I'd recommend you get the SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB ($84.99) and the HX version of that psu.

850 watts sounds crazy, could could probably bump yourself down a bit and save some cash. Unless you actually do plan on putting two 5850s in crossfire later in the future.

I've seen overclocked PII quads with CF'ed 4890's running on a Corsair 650W. Unless the OP's planning on running a massive RAID array or TEC, a 750W Corsair will be more than enough.

I'd swap the optical drive for a similar SATA version. IDE cables are horrendously hard to "neatly" put in your case.

Oh, that is very interesting. You know i wanna be "covered" for the future, but definitely not waste money "over-buying". Thanks for your help too!

If the extra $20 isn't worth the extra 100 Watts to you, you could get the 750W HX.
