So I decided to get a 32" LCD HDTV 1080p, but now the question is, is 60hz a good enough refresh rate for having no delay when gaming and no tv lag or w/e? Or do i really need to go with 120hz. Also, if 60hz is good enough, what shoul the response time be?

60Hz is fine, and 5ms is fine. Most past that are just gimmicks.

120hz is definitely not a gimmick. 60hz will have a quicker response time than 120hz due to the lack of additional video processing.

There's really no point to getting 1080p on a tv that small unless you are planning on sitting two feet from it.

I know I have bionic eyes and all :P , but I find this to be untrue. You'll see the difference from much further away than that. Even 21.5" 1080p displays look much better at 2 feet away...
