i cant keep my eyes off of it. if this turns out as good as the say it will it will definitely be the holy grail of gaming, but i cant ever find a release date or any kind of estimate.

i keep hearing about the p55 baord but cant seem to find it anywhere, so how long do youthink it will be until it comes out?

for those that dont know what i am talking about i will give you a run down,

lucid hydra is a company who has said that they can make a mother board with a special chipset that will allow you not only run 2 different grades of cards but also ati and nvidea cards, what this means is you can mix and match your old card with any new higher grade card(EX: if you have a gtx 260 and want the radeon 5870 this mobo will make it work)

for additional details type in "lucid hydra" at google and be prepared to be amazed

The expected release time frame was around 30 days from the press release on September 22nd on Anandtech and a few other sites.

FYI, it WON'T launch with Cross Vendor GPU usage. They are still working on that, IE No ATI + Nvidia.

There was also another article saying they would be able to do nv + ati with a bios update early next year. Will be happy if it just gives great performance with one brand though. Definitely getting a board with this chip if it does as advertised and next to 0 issues since I'll be in the market for a new rig in the coming months. They have a lot of hurdles I assume with physx, dx 9, 10, 11, Win Xp, Vista, Win7 32bit and 64bit and the list goes on.
