Get the Origin Big O if you really want to burn that money. It has dual Intel Xeon X5680 Processors at 4.3GHz, liquid cooling, 12GB of Corsair 2000MHz RAM, dual 1050W Enermax power supplies, quad-SLId GTX 480s, and a liquid cooled Xbox 360.

If you wait a couple weeks the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 should be out and if you wait until December the ATI Radeon HD 6970 might be out. bit-tech has a PC hardware buyer's guide that they release every month. Check it out in December for the latest and greatest parts. Here's this month's. http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/buyers-guide/2010/11/03/pc-hardware-buyer-s-guide-november-2010/5

We don't know yet. Personally, I think building computers is really fun so I'd recommend you build your own, but if you don't want to do that, buying a pre-built computer is fine. You'll just be spending a lot more money. Don't go with Alienware. The guy who posted that you should get an Alienware was just kidding. Go with a company like Maingear. They have a very high rating on ResellerRatings. http://www.maingear.com/custom/desktops/shift/index.php

Meh, if money is no object go get an Alienware, Falcon Northwest, or an Origin box. Who really cares if you're paying more when money doesn't matter? Buy a nice high end computer, and do whatever you want with the rest of the money. Congrats on the cash, I hope you have fun with it.

Compared to these other guys, I would recommend a 27.5 in iMac, so you have a Mac for when you might want an OSX based machine and a gorgeous beyond 1080p monitor that will nicely display what a quad-fire system can do :D

Well, you still want the best quality for your money. If the price is the same, better to get a great machine than just a good one.

Did you read his original post? I don't really think money is as much of a concern as having the highest end gaming rig, which, he could easily obtain with 25k. Go for the Alienware, OP. Get the most tricked out rig you can configure, and research Eyefinity. You'll definitely want Eyefinity if you have AMD graphic cards.

If OP is serious, well I hope you're grateful for what your parents have given you. The only thing holding me back from my dreams is more capital to get my business ideas rolling. I would love to be in your position, I'd spend $1,500 on getting a new rig and invest the rest into my projects. It really just boils my blood when kids from rich families are so incredibly spoiled by their parents. If I was in that position I would be able to make the world a better place with some of my ideas.

Believe me, if you were rich you'd be knees deep in classy hookers and cocaine like the rest of us. Sorry for the reality trip, but we're humans, we biologically exist because of our insatiable needs for power, wealth, and lust in addition to our profound ability to learn. Besides, if you truly want to make the world a better place you can easily do so without money, and if you think that's BS then you really had no idea what you were talking about in the first place.

Me also. I live in San Jose, near winchester and bascom on university avenue. The bay area isn't full of idiots who throw away 25 grand at a computer that'll be worth less than 1 grand in 5 years. My parents have been making 6 figures for 3 decades and while my mom drives a CL that my dad got her for their 10th anniversary (step-mom) he drives an 89 toyota pick up worth about 800 bucks. My best friends dad is VP of a high tech company that didn't go under in the dot bomb and makes 250 grand a year and drives an F150 that he bought in 1997.

[QUOTE="Remmib"]If OP is serious, well I hope you're grateful for what your parents have given you. The only thing holding me back from my dreams is more capital to get my business ideas rolling. I would love to be in your position, I'd spend $1,500 on getting a new rig and invest the rest into my projects. It really just boils my blood when kids from rich families are so incredibly spoiled by their parents. If I was in that position I would be able to make the world a better place with some of my ideas.LORTL

This post isn't real.

My parents just dropped 100,000 on a down payment on a house for me. I am 100% positive no one would give anyone 25k to buy a computer.

They didn't give it to me for a computer, its for whatever i want which is a computer - my decision!

Which is even worse lol :P .

Compared to these other guys, I would recommend a 27.5 in iMac, so you have a Mac for when you might want an OSX based machine and a gorgeous beyond 1080p monitor that will nicely display what a quad-fire system can do :D

mouthforbathory

You disgust me...also, if you buy a pc 27.5 in monitor its normally 2560x1600, and mac drivers are crap so quad-fire wouldnt even be that good.

You cant get a Super Computer by Try Falcon Northwest-MachV-Workstation. I built a $28,000 PC their..Obviously I didnt buy it, But since you have so much money I suggest you dont get a Super-Computer as with ordinary applications it isnt neccesary, I think you should get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150500 Its perfect for your huge wallet :-)
