I bought a Heir Audio 4.Ai+ 2 days ago for a total of $655. http://www.heiraudio.com/article_178.html

It says $400, but I got the plus version so it comes with a lot of extra things, one being a VERY nice cable. If anyone wants me to take pictures when the arrive, I will.a?ui=2&ik=dad69c31f0&view=att&th=13d7ad6a?ui=2&ik=dad69c31f0&view=att&th=13d80204

Feast your eyes on my new DT880's, don't have them yet though, MCA shipped them out yesterday.

2013 Astro A40 Audio System. I thought about taking the FAQ advice and buying something else but with the problems I was reading that Astro was having, I wanted to play it safe and buy from a store with a return policy instead of online. Unfortunatly, you cannot buy just the Mixamp from a retailer. Now i know people criticize them but they sound pretty damn good. Certainly better than any of the other gaming headphones I have owned or tried.

Astro A50Razer MakoKlipsch 5.1

.........Primary.......................................................... For sharing vids/music................................................... For Home Theater

I primarily wear the wireless Astro A50s, which I just got to replace my old wired A40s. But if I want to share something with someone or put on music, it's the Razer Makos. I used to have a Klipsch 5.1 speaker set, but got tired of all the clutter (rear sattellite stands etc.) and went for virtual 5.1 instead via my headphones. I enjoy it a lot, and with the A50s, I can play late at night without waking anybody up and still chat wirelessly on my plasma TV, which is located in the room adjacent to my computer. I run a long HDMI cable from my PC to the TV. It's a great, versatile solution for me. Incidentally, I'm using the old Klipsch speakers for my 5.1 surround in the living room. They aren't huge, but they sound good enough and provide excellent positional audio. I would consider upgrading the Klipsch to something bigger, but I live in an apartment, and don't want to bass out anybody when watching movies or gaming.

Can't wait to upgrade after I've returned home from my service in the Navy.

What are you planning on buying?

It depends on what I find. I might go for something from DALI a la Ikon series. then again I could switch over to the dark side (horns) and go for a Klipsch setup a la RF82/83. But then again I've contemplating used stuff instead. Much more bang for my buck that way. Might get something relatively vintage a la Snell, or cinema grade surrounds.

Don't really know what your saying, but it sounds like you know what your doing. I'm a much bigger headphone guy. I'm now onto upgrading my amp/DAC and then getting a sh!t load of headphones:D. Mid-Fi ones like Senn HD650, a STAX 407, Senn HD600 drivers(HD650 and HD600 are interchangable, can pop out very easy) a Magnum Grado, and MAYBE a Hifiman HE-400 or HE-500.
