Well, I'm looking for a new keyboard to complete my new computer set-up. I have been reading on a few reports that the G15 starts having key problems after about a year. The warranty only lasts 1 year so I don't want to be stuck with a 65USD keyboard that doesn't work. Since Amazon is offering it for 65USD I'm debating whether I should purchase it or not. Can anyone with the Logitech G15 v2 chime in about how it's holding up? Actually, any information would be much appreciated.

had mine for about 2 months now.

Best keyboard I owned, and I aint no noob either - I've had good keyboards before but this beast just rules.

The macro keys are a great addition, it has good tactile response and the LCD is full of WIN.

I love how there is a community devoted to the logitech G15 range - for example I recently downloade the spotify plugin which displays all song data on the LCD.

All in all it really is a great keyboard - I've owned many logitech products and never had a problem. As a extra plus their customer service is great, I once broke my Logitech wireless mouse dongle, I contact support about paying for a replacement - they sent it to me free in 3 days... so if something did go wrong with the keyboard I am pretty sure logitech would help out.

PS. you gotta be careful where you read these reviews, one site called the 'GAME' slider button on the keyboard lame - this button once activated will block the WINDOWS key, which means no more accidently minimizing the game to the task bar, a great addition - now tell me, HOW the hell is that lame!

I now have the G15 keyboard for 1 year, and i wouldn't say it's the best keyboard ever, but it sure have some of the collest thing ever!

So here is my opinion

The Bad:

You never really use the LCD screen

Not that many G keys

The Macro button is the coolest thing EVER! But i will warn you use it carefully since you can get banned using it in online MMO since it can play for you.

My H key is the worst ever! But i just think it's my keyboard cause it doesn't always respond when i press on it, i always have to press hard down on it.

The good

G keys are good to have

The Macro key is the most awesome ever!

The LCD screen can be usefull sometimes

If i needed a new keyboard i would more go for the G19 keyboard since it have some new cool features.

It is far from being the best keyboard. There are much better options out there.

Well I use this one now. I like it quite a bit more. Though it really is not necsarry to spend that much on a keyboard.

I think Razer stuff is better for the mice and Logitech better for Keyboards.

Notice that I said "I". I like Razer better for keyboards and Logitech for mice. So I think it is quite the opposite.

I question Saitek's integrity more so than the Logitech G15. I also don't really like the macro key placement but you input was much appreciated.

I used Saitel and think they are the last option they should be looking at. Their products are cheap feeling and overall low in quality.

I have been using a G15 (original) for well over a year, and I still like it as much as the day I got it. My GF has the newer G15, she has had her's for over a yera as well and she seems satisfied with it. I don't play MMO's so I don't use the G keys for much, other than to have my usual used user names, email addresses, and password set up for a quick one key entry. I use the LCD to monitor temps and other info while in game. While not the best keyboards they have served me well. According to Newegg, the G15 has a 2 year warranty, not great, but if they cover it like they did my G9 mouse then it's a great warranty.

Avoid Logitech, I don't even feel like getting into all the horror stories but go to their community forums and take a look at the mass amounts of complaints, it's nearly all negatives. Plus the bastards haven't refunded me for my defective Z-5500 I sent in to them and it's been since November 2009..NOVEMBER 2009. And most of Logitechs stuff breaks eventually I heard.

The original g15 was the most awesome thing ever in design with loaded G keys. Orange revision loooks like a cheap downgrade, but still good I suppose. Saitek feels very bad in quality like in an american car, so I dont recommend them.

Love mine - the orange second gen one. It's actually the size of a keyboard rather than a piano and the colours are more pleasing. If you do get one, download sirreal's app - it crams pretty much everything you could ever want on the screen for easy viewing. Date, time, CPU and memory usage, current network in/out usage, and four boxes on the bottom you can customize with a handful of things from CPU temperatures and fan speeds to total network use since boot-up and CPU use over the past 30 seconds or so. Removes the need for screen gadgets and is particularly useful when you're playing a game. That on its own is probably why I like the keyboard so much. By itself it's merely good, with keys that are just a little bit too mushy and lighting that's somewhat uneven in spots.

Actually i love this keyboard. it feels very nice and ive had it since september 2009. Colors are nice, you can change individual areas of the keyboard colors. theres a touch panel for volume, LED's, music and cyborg mode which locks the windows key so you dont hit it ingame. the only problem is that i have a few faulty LED's in the corner of my numpad for about a month now
