Awesome! I was just going about to buy Sonic CD on PSN this weekend but if Steam will give it to me why not.
I would advise against buying the Genesis games on Steam. I found there to be a delay in the controls using Sega's Genesis emulator. It was impossible for me to complete the special stages in Sonic 3 and Knuckles because you need very precise button hits. I even hooked up my old Genesis to test this out and compare the controls. There was no delay on the Genesis.
I do not know if Sonic CD, Sonic 4, or any Dreamcast titles have the same problem.
Really? Gonna check it. Haven't played Sonic 3 and Knuckles on the Genesis Emulator.I would advise against buying the Genesis games on Steam. i have sonic 3 and knuckles and i think it works pretty good. of course its been a LONG time since i played sonic 3 on the genesis.....but i do have the sonic collection on the 360 so i could always run a test on there. anyway i was able to beat the special stages with no probs using my logitech controllerI tried my brother's Wii classic controller, and it is a little better than the keyboard, but still not near as crisp as the original game on a real Genesis system. The controls feel sluggish. It's possible that the issue crops up on only certain computer hardware. I still say buyer beware on the Genesis titles.
Used my ps3 controller and it worked better than with the keyboard. Problem is I had to map the buttons for it to work. Miroku32i youtubed a "how to" on how to use the PS3 controller on the PC and man, it looked like a painful process. is it really as bad as the vid seemed???
This isn't an emulator though. It's a port of the engine and reworked for WS and other changes. I think some Sonic forum member did all the work lol and sega hired em.I would advise against buying the Genesis games on Steam. Also I bought the collection, I was very dissapointed, they did not even add multiplayer which is why I bought it. The common emulators do a better job and can do multiplier... provided you are very close, on lan or have no jtiter since kailera gets out of sync very easily.

Only download Motionjoy and then follow the instructions. It is quite easy.

I think it doesn't matter if the controller is Sixasis or DS3.
