Ok I'm not exactly a noob but...if anyone can help me with a suggestion, I finally found something that sounded JUST like what I wanted - which is sort of real-time strategy/kngdom building/agriculture & all that. I found Age of Empires sounded good but it is for PC only so thats not going to work for me. I can run Windows on my MacBook Pro but it is so unbelievably awkward to use that its just not even worth it unless I absolutely have to for something.
I've been addicted to this darn farmville crap for almost two years & the company running it, Zynga has just driven me away with their greed & I would very much like to quit it. I know I'm not the target demographic here, but if it helps any, I'm a 19 year old trapped in the body of a 35 year old woman. I've been a huge gamer since I was 9 in 85 and got hooked on the first Zelda game. Might've been 86 actually....(Dodongo dislikes smoke!) Am trying to say that I'm 35/female but I've been told I come across as more of a 19 year old male.
So without getting all pathetic, I'm 35 now, I cant work anymore cuz I've got this pesky brain injury thing going on so I've got the combination of bored as heck with addicted to games. I used to play this one called Virtual Villagers but thats a bit light & girlified for me.
Anything that doesnt involve racing or flight/driving sim but with the elements I mentioned....you know, like you can have an avatar or whatever (maybe a whole kingdom/village) and grow him from say, birth or whatever age and go out & scrounge for food, build a house, protect his junk, stuff like that... Like if I had to combine the perfect elements it would be this:
Zelda + Farmville + The Horde (OMG I miss the Horde so, so, so, so much!) + I cant think of the name of it but there was this game probably on Xbox where you are this kid & you can have him turn into a total jerk or do nice things...OOOOH and I really, really liked the Lost in Blue series for DS (not to include the one on Wii. ugh)
thanks for any help you can give. I've thought about trying out Warcraft but I dont quite understand it...I want something really immersive, is Warcraft more of fighting & I like to have clear cut goals & objectives I guess? (I have some kind of sick need for gratification on quests & earning junk apparently)
