So i downloaded it off the website and i don't notice any differences yet, like no magical performance increases or anything lol. The only thing i have noticed so far infact is how it uses up more ram now and theres a tools tab in msconfig.

i have heard that it has a 10 % frame increas and built for games. hope its true.

The thing that i do not understand is why microsoft would go on with xp if they launched vista.

If theres a performance increase in games then it's sooo minor you wouldn't notice it.

it as suposed to be for high res games. chunky mothers like crysis and so on.

can you update it allready?

Again i've tried Crysis and it still runs like crap but that's for the developers to fix and gears of war still crashes alot lol.

Oh well it's not as bad as my G/F who knows nothing about computers bought a new one with vista on it and then 2 days later she made me install Windows XP back on it cause she hated Vista LOL!

Yea I heard it has a 10% performance increase too.

Is it even out yet? The proper one - not beta.

People keep saying they hate Vista...I have used it and I didn't find any real problems with it. Ah well...to each their own. chandu83
It was the same when XP came out.

Everyone hated it and called it a system hog ect. - and yes said they would never shift from Win 2000.

And eventually everyone shifted to XP, and now loves it - shunning vista, just like when XP came out.

Happens every time a new windows OS comes out - exept Windows ME - that just plain sucked.

They still support 2000 dont they.

The dropped 98' support more recently.
