[QUOTE="biggest_loser"][QUOTE="NosmoKing1984"] Clearly, Spore isn't for me then. Building your own story and objectives and evolving that to RTS kinda game play isn't for me. I'll just contine not understanding what's interesting with this game and let others enjoy it. I just wanted to try to understand what was so interesting with this thing, guess I never will. Same with The Sims I guess.
Have fun

I think you should try - we all should give it a go first - before a judgement can be made - who knows: maybe you are right and it is one of the most over hyped piles of cow dung. Lets just wait and see! Remember that is all just personal preference: I don't like GTA: San Andreas for example, but thats just me.
I agree on San Andreas, It was OK for a muck about but it got stale very quick. I've found that with all open ended games I've played I just get bored, with no driving force or direction I end up wandering around and wondering what I'm supposed to be doing and end up just quiting and playing something else.
Bah! I'll give it shot, I might be suprised! But I seem to think I'll end up getting bored quick and playing something else. I seem to have larger attention spans for multiplayer games than single player these days. I used to be all about the single player but things change.
Have fun
Okay I am glad you changed your mind.
But how bad was San Andreas? No save system, bland graphics, no story, the flying missions
Its funny that you should mention pointless actually and that I brought up San Andreas. Now that is a game that you could justify as pointless in a way: You do all those missions for that CIA guy, driving all over the place for him, flying, stealing the jet - and for what? nothing! He has not impact on the story whatsoever really. Have you finished the game?
