multiplayer demo only. i own the game, and believe me, it'd be hard if not impossible to make a sp demo for it. also, the devs need to spend some time on a patch first.am360a single player demo when the game is an open world would be damn hard to make. Though they could probably lock you in an interior and have you deal with what's inside. I don't have the game yet, but from what I've been hearing they really need a patch.
dunno if this is what ur lookin for...i think its russian ver. and read that u may need a cd-key somewhere but the link works with fast dl speed but im yet to try installing or playing it.

I doubt a demo will be released since it hasn't already.. the game has awesome atmosphere and you should be able to find the game pretty cheap now so why not check it out? I didn't have any problems getting the game to run and didn't come across any bugs, and that was without running any patches. The combat was a bit different at first but when i got used to it (didn't take long) i found the game absolutly amazing.
I wasn't expecting much cause i read so many negative comments before getting it, but once i did play STALKER i was pleasently suprised. Definatly a game i recommend.
A single player demo would take too much work..... It's like asking for an Oblivion demo.SuperBeast
That's overstating it quite a bit. STALKER's world is nowhere near as free-roam and open as Oblivion's. Oblivion has a completely real-time, open world; STALKER is just large, open areas of land (though most of them are more like really, really big linear corridors than utterly free-roam lands) connected by chokepoint loading areas.
Personally, I think it'd be very possible to make a demo for STALKER the way the world is designed, though it wouldn't be that great as the game wasn't designed with it in mind. All they'd have to do is limit you to the first section of land in the game (or the first two, or whatever), and get rid of quests from the trader that you need to go to areas much later in the game to complete. Pretty simple, really. Again, it wouldn't be all that great, but it could very easily be done.
