Depends on what you like. It's a very athmospheric game, with awesome AI, very memorable locations and fights. And it's scary at times. Graphics are really good too.

Sometimes it might get boring a bit, when you walk from one location to another and starting out is pretty hard, when you're with basic pistol fighting against guys with AKs.

Very fun game and at this point it's very polished with patches.

I loved Stalker, but from what I've seen it seems like Stalker is either a "love it or hate it" game. First time I tried it I ended up in the "hate it" group, but decided to try again a few months later and ended up in the "love it" group instead :)

Stalker is not a "shoot everything that moves" game. You don't play the game as Rambo, even one on one fights can be difficult

I enjoyed STALKER to the max, but that's just me. I love this type of game. And every time you play a new game it is different from the last. The AI is spot on. If you like this type of game, get it, as you can't go wrong.

it is a good game, and original too, not the same thing done over and over again like most WW2 shooters, and it is fun, though as a warning may take a few hours for you to actually get into it, but if you can endure that, then it is a great game..

It's definitely worth it. There's too much great and unique qualities about the game to pass up.

both Stalker games is worth it... but as mentioned its an aquired taste, it is not run and gun, nor a rambo free for all, the games in Stalker is lethal, much more so then in most other shooters, and the enemy ai is decent, and sometimes even good.

The strengths of stalker is in its atmosphere and levels. It is down right scary to run through the night, with nothing to light your way but a flashlight, the 5 bullets left in your clip and the rags of an armor on your shoulders, while you can hear... inhuman howls behind you closing in quick.

That my friend is Stalker, it is more about surviving in the zone, NOT to kill everything thats a foe.

the first stalker is more creepy and more of a frightening game while the 2nd, is alot more about group on group firefights, and area control through the zone.

Lastly Stalker is a thinking mans game, siting there, listening to your giger counter, a game of slow exploring, and choosing your targets with care, fuc up and you will be served.

So alot of people think that it is a hard game, and it may be, untill you get into the rythm of the game, when you begin to understand, the game feels alot easier.

Stalker is... a "love it or hate it" game

this, and there are enough STALKER fans on GS to make it seem like one of the greatest games ever.

personally, I cannot stand its meaningless quest taking and pointless enemy respwan.
