I posted this in the other SWG topic, but i still think it's relevant
I used to be addicted to SWG, i loved playing it since launch and i was a great fan for 2 and a half years. But then the NGE, yes the NGE ruined it for me like so many others. I was a mayor of a town, had 3 accounts of max level people, including a jedi and had a billion credit company on the Chimera server. I even had real people working for me, like i had a huge tailoring company, and i paid people to make stock. It was awesome and i thoroughly enjoyed the crafting and the economy, which was without a doubt the high point for the game and unlike any other game.
The economy was fantastic, too much detail on why it was good but lets just say when they reduced the number of professions to i think 4Â crafting professions. And then gave each person a second character, totally ruined it for me. So much for being unique as a bio-engineer and although there were few of them, they were a necessary profession and the few who were bio-engies, made money from it as their services were required, that was why it was such a great game.
And so, giving the NGE a month or two i finally quit and have sorely missed it and often wanted to return, but then i remember why i quit. I WANT to play it again, but unless someone can convince me otherwise i just have to move on i guess :(.
