They stated they wanted a mid 2010 release so it's coming out this year more than likely.

It's coming this year. Blizzard said this year will be the first year they ever released two game. Starcraft 2 and WoW:Cataclysm.

Im sure there will be a heap of invites because they will want to stress test their battle.net servers to see how many people can log in and play without causing too much lag or slow data performance.

Im sure it will come in waves just like in all CB events, one week, then the 2nd and so forth untill the server can occupy that amount.

Because hell will break loose on day one ahahaha, i can see 1000s of people loggin in at the same time, will be great to see :D!!

From what I've read they're only sending out 10,000 keys(at least at first), making the chances about 1/100.

It's never gonna live up to SC1 judging by gameplay videos, unless they completely revamped the gameplay between the last video and now. So, not guaranteed GOTY.F1_2004

Judging by gameplay videos, StarCraft would have never lived up to the other RTSs out at the time, either.

Gameplay videos are meant to show the most content available at the time rather than what you can do in a game, not how a game is supposed to be played at one hundred percent or how you WILL play it, plus we still haven't seen enough from the Zerg.

Also, StarCraft 2's map editor promises to be friggin' huge, and gameplay videos can't show its efficiency because of its own nature. Couple that with the insane amount of games that were created on the original SC plus what you gain in the transfer to a full 3D environment, and well, it's pretty impressive.

Hmm? SC1 was a hit when it was out, one of the highest rated games of its year. The gameplay vids for SC2 are played by pretty skilled testers, unless the gameplay is drastically changed then that is a good indication of what we're gonna be seeing during the beta.F1_2004

I know, I'm just saying that the vids don't make games justice.
