Starcraft 2 graphics already outdated

I think that Blizzard totally need to revamp the Starcraft 2 graphics engine. I mean it's coming out later than some other RTS like Dawn of War 2 and End War, yet those games already have better graphics than SC2.

C'mon Blizzard if you want the game to last for 10 years like Starcraft 1 did, at least make the graphics ahead of it's time.

Right now Dawn of War 2 looks better than Starcraft 2, from the world to the units and lighting. What do you think?

don't forget, Starcraft was about mass armies, DoW is not, I'm craving for a game wich may let you control hundreds of units even if it will be only in it's mod, players of the original Starcraft game will know what I'm speaking of

Why fix something which runs perfectly?They already added a bunch of new stuff though.

Give them time, blizzard has always polished off their products, even though sometimes they come out like crap (WoW).....Sigleaf

WoW is the best PC game.

They're a bit late in the development cycle to redo the engine, plus they'd have to redo most of the models, textures etc to take advantage of the new engine.

Besides, Duke Nukem Forever shows what happens when you redo the graphics engine time and time again, to keep up with other games :P.

Then don't, it's that simple, nobody is making you buy it and they are adding quite a lot of new stuff imo + there is no game that is as balanced as Starcraft, so it's all about fans and competition, if you are not a fan then ok.

Then don't, it's that simple, nobody is making you buy it and they are adding quite a lot of new stuff imo + there is no game that is as balanced as Starcraft, so it's all about fans and competition, if you are not a fan then ok.

The question was whether a complain could be brought up against Starcraft 2; I mentioned one possibility. I did not say I believed it was true.

imo as far as RTS go SC is the best. the graphics are good enough even today because of the gameplay, esp online.

Im sure the graphics will not be an issue. And I dunno if you have seen the high definition gameplay videos on Blizzards website, but i think the game looks pretty sweet. for me, Blizzard have really got to make the gameplay near perfect to live up to the original.

I'm actually really into great graphics and I really hate bad looking games... and I thought what i've seen in the screenshots look great. I prefer sharp graphics to blurry "next gen" graphics. For an RTS game especially, you have to be able to tell what things are, and if the graphics are too flashy, it makes the game frustrating.Old_Gooseberry

you obviously don't play many blizz games. none of there games have up to date graphics. they want accesibility and fun...almost every mmo after WoW has better graphics and guess which MMO is on top...Maverin1

I thought WoW's graphics were ugly even at launch. I loved EQ2's graphics though. :P
