What do I have to do to fix it? I've done nothing wrong, but had some debit card problems buying a game two days ago. I checked the card today though and it's fine and has plenty of money on it. Thanks in advance!

Try contacting steam. I'm pretty sure that's the most logical and first choice.

Click on this link and follow the instructions on that page. EDIT: Steam doesn't do phone support, only online and emails. The link I gave you is about disabled accounts and why that happens, and what you can do. Start there, and good luck. :)

Did any chargebacks take place? That's grounds for instant disabling of your account.

Anyway, you'd need to contact Steam Support. We can't really do anything to help.

Really? Most companies just permanently block that specific credit card, and move on. That's very good to know...

Not that I know of. Steam told me that when I tried to buy the games that the card wasn't charged (I was on a friend's account buying a game for him (he doesn't have any working cards). It wouldn't work after trying two different cards so then I decided to gift the game. It worked when I tried that.

It probably saw the cards being used on different accounts and wrongly assumed it was some kind of fraud going on...but like everyone else said you need to contact Valve...nobody here can help you.

Again...like everybody here said. Send in a support ticket to steam and they will get back to you in a couple days.

If you have ever used any one of those two cards on your own account, and then tried to use it on another, it will look to Steam as if you friend stole your card and tries to do fraudulent purchases with it. That would very likely get your account disabled. Contact Steam with your verified email address using the info/forms on the page I gave you a link to, and they will hopefully be able to help you out.

Contact steam. Next time, just buy the game and gift it to him from your account. I had the exact same issue 3 years ago but that was before gifting. Gifting makes things extremely easy to send a game to a friend.
