[QUOTE="daviwinn"] Again, meh. Steam gave me a bad first impression. For those of you who have no problems with it, good for you. To me it blows. And no matter what some of you think these problems are widespread at the moment (and unfortunately it isn't hardware or ISP related). Whether they will continue or not is unclear but as you know, the first impression is the most important one.

Out of 15 million users less I've heard less than 1% complain. Widespread now has a new definition.well ive used steam since it was first out. and the original poster is right it is slow download sometimes, but sometimes it doesnt even download at all. ive used steam for years, this never was an issue at the beginning, so many users now i think its the issue. but i wouldnt bring steam down over that, even xbox live has its connection problems too but i wouldnt say it sucks, WoW has its slow connection too at times, nothing is perfect dude, i was downloading COD4 and it stopped at 45% but i wasnt complaining, so i resumed it the following morning ( i was downloading it at night at the time) plus my connection is stable at 1.2 - 1.5 MB/sec when downloading games from steam.
if you really want something to complain about try EA's version of steam. try getting your games from there, lol steam is heaven compared to that. plus im sure they will fix this in the future, maybe soon or maybe not but eventually.
