STEAM demos wont work?

Whenever I try to start a demo, it just takes me back to the games page (where you download the demo/buy the game from), any tips?

running on windows 7, and I know my pc is good enough to play the games im trying to play. Thanks :)

Anyways OP, yeah it does, on the games page on the left side there's a light gray button that says "Download Demo" it's close to the add to wishlist button.

Im a noob for tech stuff, so how would I do that and what does it mean?
