Steam Downloads seem slower

Has anyone else been experiencing slower download speeds with Steam lately? I have a 20Mbps download speed (according to speedtest.net and BTs own speedtester) and my steam downloads at one point would be around 1.5MBps - 2.5MBps. Lately it has been around 500-700KBps. Anyone else experiencing this ?

maybe the steam servers are busy? :S

Just checked now I am download at 3.4MB/s on a Virgin 30Mbps D/L speed. So am not sure why your speeds are like that mate :(

Steam has definately been slower for me lately.

I used to download at 3MB/s now im lucky to get 1MB/s.

Steam always downloads at about 600-700 KB/S

Yet itunes gives me around 2-3 Mb

My download speed has always been around 1.1- 2.3 MB/s. I just installed Fallout 3 last night and there didn't seem to be any difference. Maybe there's some server problems for the area you live in?

no. a few hours ago, i downloaded/installed company of heroes gold and the valor expansion and my download was at 2.5M

try changing your download region under settings and download/cloud

Been slower for me as well, but I'm guessing that has more to do with it being close to the weekend and internet activity at my apartment complex goes way up on the weekends.
