I didn't like Diablo 3.
I loved Diablo 2.
Will i enjoy Torchlight 2?

Bought Civilization V: Gods & Kings for £4.99
And Legend of Grimrock for £2.99.
Anyone here played Legend of Grimrock? I do tend to enjoy old style games, especially puzzles.
It's great fun to play with friends, if you can convince them to get it. It's just a great game all around, but lacks a bit of the rigid structure that was in place in Diablo 3. Also, it has a great mod community. So after you beat it, you can mess around and break the game for fun :PI didn't like Diablo 3.

More like 4 person coop. I move 1 meter i get teamkilled so there is no room for me to do anything. Actually I think they were all just picking on me because all of them have beat the game like 10 times /madcusbad[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"][QUOTE="BPoole96"]
YOu need to work on dat Arcane Shaft

You can cast a shield around yourself or if they're doing a specific element to you, you can cast that resistance on yourself. Like if they are killing you with lightning strike, you would press A+E and cast it on yourself. I never did 4 player co op bc of that reason. The game is much more enjoyable with only 1 or 2 other people so you can actually coordinate attacks without killing eachother
I put shield, but it was basically this:
I was about to move to checkpoint
and then I get lightning'd 10,000 dmg right before I get there.
Team then lols > : |
mad confirmed
But my team is a bunch of trolls
and i wouldn't want it any other way
dhat
I bought Dishonored and transformers fall of cybertron, like the first one transformers seems to have been underrated here, thought it wwas great beat it in 2 days, dishonored on the other hand seems to have been overrated, just cant get into it, dont really like the feel of the game, have to give it some more time, but it may be one of the many steam game sales that I buy and never play.
If you can forgive the cartoony art style (personally I like it) then you will love TL2. Its the true successor to D2. D3 is just a pale imitation of what came before.I didn't like Diablo 3.

[QUOTE="bigfoot2045"]Pretty lame sale. Where are all of the $7 or $8 doorbusters they normally have? Hopefully we'll see those during the actual holiday sale in a few weeks.

Games are at an already pretty big discount and people are still complaining? Talk about spoiled.
This. This autumn sale was excellent. Flash sales were pretty darn good too. New games like Dishonored and Borderlands 2 being discounted to $30, and I gotta say it again SR3 full for a mere $12.49.And The Witcher 2 for $12 once and now $7.49. What an epic game for a doorbuster price. Max Payne for $15. The list goes on. This sale was so darn good. That price kicked down the vault to gaming heaven.
Steam certainly busted my door this year.
Edit: P.S. Deus Ex Human Revolution for a mere $5. Somebody stop me. Do I need to keep going? :P
I bought it when it came out and devoured that game. It is brilliant. If you like the old school games like Eye Of The Beholder or Wizardry than you will love it. It eases you into things and doesn't get hard until five or six floors in but the puzzles get really devious later. I loved this game to pieces and hope to see more of its style being made.Bought Civilization V: Gods & Kings for £4.99
And Legend of Grimrock for £2.99.

Just cause 2 - 3.74$ Bastion - 3.74$ GTA IV - 7.49$Aside from Max Payne 3 I also bought Dishonored and Skyrim.
If XCOM had been at 50% off I would have bought that as well. But right now I feel like 50% for Dishonored is an absolute steal!
I'm almost finished with Max Payne 3. It's really quite good.
I'm on Chapter XIII and am 8 hours in. So I figure it's a 9-10 hour game. I'm interested to try the various Arcade modes for singleplayer, but not sure if multiplayer is even worth trying. The way I figure, if I wanted multiplayer I'd be playing a multiplayer game.
Dishonored is next just so I feel good about playing a brand new game.
Other than that, I kind of want Torchlight II since I love the first and was bored by Diablo III, but I figure I can wait on that one for now and save my $10 for a sandwich or something.

Honestly, I figure with my purchased games I should be good until the Winter/Christmas sale. And hopefully those prices are as ridiculously awesome as this Fall sale, because last year pales compared to what we got this year.
[QUOTE="flipin_jackass"]Holy crap, I didn't want anything until now - Civ V, Civ V: G&K, Witcher 2, Batman:AC each $7.49....NeonNinja
If you go for only one game on that list go for The Witcher 2. :D
Otherwise get them all!
Yea! That's what I'm thinking. Still $30 for all those is freakin' good. My HDD is super full though. I have to get a new one, but it'll be a while. I also have considerable backlog and if I'm not going to play them now - I might as well hold off til later when they might be even cheaper. lol I'll sleep on it. :PTotally bought everything on my wishlist that went under $10! Only six games but it'll sure provide hours and hours of entertainment:
Bastion
L.A. Noire
Batman Arkham Asylum
Alan Wake
Just Cause 2
The Witcher 2
How is Arkham City compared to the first game? I played the first game for a bit but couldn't get into and stopped playing. Is the second different or more of the same?blurguy6If you didn't really like the first, you probably won't like the second. Although, Arkham City is a lot better then the first game.
I'm tempted to pick up Witcher 2, CS: GO, among some others, but I still haven't played games I bought from the Autumn 2011 sale. So many great deals on games, but not enough time to play them. :(
It's definitely a great game. If you're a fan of the genre from the 'Eye of the Beholder' times, you should disable the auto-map feature - having to draw everything on a grid-paper beckons to the early 90's dungeon crawlers like nothing else. I can definitely see it hard to get used to for anyone who didn't play the 'original' game, though - the gameplay has a touch of old and surpassed, what with the grid movements and lackluster combat.Anybody who hasn't gotten Legend of Grimrock should get it immediately. I got it yesterday and have already played 8 hours, and it even comes with a map editor.

Are you going to b*tch about Assassin's Creed III not being on sale? What about Hitman Absolutiuon? The newest games very rarely go on sale during steam sales. I'm going to **** about a series which is repeadedly released above the regular price of a new release game and rarely drops in price at all even long after release. Are you going to deal with it like a good little adult?[QUOTE="-Unreal-"]
They've got all these deals with the old price slashed out and the new price under it. Then I see Black Ops 2 - £39.99. Nothing else. No price reduction.
I can't stand Activision. I wasn't going to buy it but it still pissed me off.
