Yea, same here, unless there is a game I have been wanting. I assume the games they use will be discounted?

I agree 100% with you.

If I already have the game fine, but I'm not buying games I don't want since that would defeat the "no purchase necessary" part of the disclaimer.

Nice way to get people to purchase games they would otherwise have no interest in. I certainly won't be doing it but I am sure they will get quite a few people that do

I laughed at this, the concept is so ingenious.

I wonder if they'll give a 'neutral' chance each cycle.

Good way for steam to make alot of money. I would try but i need to buy a few games and don't really feel like doing that already have so many games I've bought recently for my pc and my new ps3. And going to start working soon so won't have much time to play and I actually wouldn't want to win so many games at once 5 is fine but a hundred I'd be completly over whelmed with so many games.

It's a buck and a quarter. It's cheaper than a **** double cheeseburger from Mcdonalds, and it wont clog your arteries. I could see not buying RUSE just for the achievement though, sure, that makes sense.

I dont know why. All this crap they have for sale now and all these "unlocks" for "random" finds are so ridiculous. Why muddle such a great game with all this trash. I understand keeping things interesting but I thought thats what class updates were for. The game was its own...now...its a lame gimmick. I mean...they charge $17 for a freaking digital hat...a HAT...wth. Fail to the limit. Doesnt even feel like a community supported game anymore. I looked forward to the quirky maps and the player being the life of the game...not HATS. Gah.

Seriously, I never understand why people complain about TF2 hats. They're just hats. They're cosmetic. They have no effect on gameplay. If you're not interested in them, you don't have to do anything related to them, at all, ever. It doesn't change gameplay. How in the world does it ruin the game for you that some people wear cosmetic hats?

Personally, I play TF2, and don't care about crafting, hats, or any other games that offer TF2 hats through achievements. IT DOESN'T EFFECT ME OR THE GAMEPLAY.

Why do you care so much about people wearing hats? How does it negatively effect you? I'm genuinely curious as to why you think TF2 hats are such a horrid thing.

Recent hats and items are actually starting to give stat boosts. Paying money for a hat that is 17.50$ is outrageous, but people will buy into them if it will give them a tactical advantage. I thought TF2 was alright at first, but the inclusion of stat boosts and man co. corp turned it into a Korean FPS.

What hat do you think provides such a distinct advantage that makes the game unbalanced?

Darwins Danger Shield - 25% max Health

The Milkman - 25% max Health

Grendiers soft cap - 20% sentry resistance( can't find wiki page)

Just to name a couple, You will notice that they provide advantages, but absolutely no disadvantages. Why bother wearing any other silly hate when you can buy stat boosting hats instead?

No disadvantages? For 25% more health as a sniper, it does nothing against spy backstabs like the normal back shield does. I don't know about you, but spies are the bane of snipers. I don't know any sniper who uses that over the normal back shield.

IIRC those stat boosts only go into effect when the entire set is worn, I could be wrong though, but there is usually a massive tradeoff for completing the set compared to the normal load out.

JangoWuzHere

The health gained from Darwin's Danger shield is negilible in a fire fight, but it may be of some assistance if your main competition are a bunch of body shotters. But even at 150 HP, you can still be one-shot bodyshotted by enemy snipers. I do on my 150hp Demoman. At 100% charge, a body shot does 150 damage.

For the scout, you need to wear the whole set to get the 25% max health boost, not just the hat. In doing so, the Holy Mackeral is a waste of space as its only usage is to annoy people with "FISH KILLS". Also, a scout will be unable to use Bonk! to get past sentries and is basically screwed.

For the Soldier, you also have to wear the full set. Also, Buff Banner is used more frequently in lue of Battalion's Backup. Rarely see a soldier use the full set. The 20% sentry damage resistance isn't all that great either, as the weapon you now have to use is only three shots and is generally not enough to take out a sentry that is being watched by an Engineer. The direct hit suits that purpose, but then you lose the set bonus.

There ya go, not as bad as you think! :D

I agree. I was already interested in Chime, just never got around to buying it. I bought it this afternoon and already played for almost 3 hours. It's awesome, much better than Lumines - especially the music. Plus 60% of the profits go to charity.

That game..god. What's the point of playing poker with A.I? They should have had you playing as one of the characters. Along with four other people. Seems like a miss.

[QUOTE="MythPro1"]I picked up Poker Night at the Inventory because I like all the characters, and I used to think I was good at Poker. Not anymore :(.GeneralShowzer
That game..god. What's the point of playing poker with A.I? They should have had you playing as one of the characters. Along with four other people. Seems like a miss.

The point is to enjoy the atmosphere.

I don't know anything about poker and I hate slideshow tutorials, so I just click randomly. It's still a bit of fun, especially windowed at work...

My thoughts exactly.... if it was guaranteed, perhaps... but if it's just a chance to win, I'd rather spend time playing games or lurking here
