Well, depends on what you're looking for, pretty much everyone says controlls are bad, some like you, some say it's unplayable. We also have as far as I heard no graphics choice (perfect sign for a horrible port) and we get screwed with the DRM (I don't care if it has, I don't care if it gets removed but I do care if they say it won't be in but then it isn't, I hate it if a company lies to me)

- Mouse control could be better opitmized but far from unplayable. - No graphic options doesn't mean horrible port. You can still choose the resolution and that's about it, but even if the fps is capped, the game runs fine, smoothly and with no crashes. - DRM and the LIE is another issue of course, I'm just reviewing the actual game.

So you suggest giving it a try I guess? But I guess doing so would void the chance to get any refund?

I'm not suggesting anything, I'm just telling you my personal experience with it. If you like games like Black and White then this is a perfect choice. What I AM saying is that you if choose to play it: - Going into it knowing the mouse controls are uncomfortable, but playable - The port performance is fine, even if it doesn't have graphic options - The game is fun, if you like that type

[QUOTE="Swiftstrike5"][QUOTE="Mystic-G"] I coulda told you that part.It was well-known to be limited edition only before it released.

Doesn't make it anything less than false advertising though. It's not like the offer was up for a day or so; It was up for something like 5-6 months.

You should've done proper research.

So you're saying Valve should be able get away with advertising misleading information to boost sales?

I partially blame myself, but I hold valve responsible for leaving such information up on the website for months after dozens of users contacted them asking if it was legit (see forums). Some steam users got "yes" and others got "no" for answers.

Maybe you should have done some research on the issue? Instead of, you know, ignorantly placing the blame on the end user for trusting a well-known, reputable website to deliever on an offer.

[QUOTE="kejigoto"][QUOTE="Travis281"][QUOTE="lawlessx"] The problem is ubisoft mislead everyone into thinking the game wouldn't have this kind of DRM. They knew people wouldn't have preordered/brought the game had they included that information.

Did you even read the first sentence of my post. Here let me emphasize it. THE DRM IS BEING PATCHED OUT. You are getting the game you pre-ordered with the kind of DRM you prefer. I'm really being bombarded by a lot of you Ubi haters, of which there are many. I don't like their always-on DRM either and I don't buy games that utilize it. They had a long string of titles that used this kind of DRM. With OR without their promises, knowing Ubi's reputation, a smart person would not buy this game before release or any game for that matter. You never know what kind of huge problems a game will have, especially on the PC platform. By the way, I've played this game on a PC with a 360 controller and have noticed no issues. I'm sorry the use of a mouse isn't entirely supported, but still, you should have waited. Just be honest, you bought into the hype and jumped the gun, plain and simple. Learn your lesson and move on.

So then companies can flat out lie to customers (regardless if they are patching out, point is they said it wouldn't be there and it was) and cut corners during development/porting and this is ok? I'm sorry but colored me confused on this one. I guess it is asking too much for a game to work properly and for the development team to stick to their word from the get go and not be forced into it after their game launches because the community is rather upset over the rush job that is From Dust on PC. This might just be me but when I think PC I think keyboard and mouse, not having decent mouse support is completely unacceptable and not everyone has a controller laying around they can use. Like another poster said, this is the sort of attitude that lets companies think they can walk all over gamers, go back on their word, and in general try to leave us with the short end of the stick. If they were simply patching out the DRM and there was nothing else wrong that would be fine, but having a shoddy port and terrible mouse support is unacceptable. Sitting there acting like this is the gamers' fault is laughable at best. What were they thinking expecting a quality product from a professional game development studio?

I see how you've completely ignored everything I said and ended up with this confused idea that I like what Ubisoft did. Pro studio or not, this crap happens over and over again and people like you continue to come out and act truly BAFFLED as to how a company could make a game that was below expectations with intrusive DRM. You think I'm unfairly placing blame on customers? I'm sorry if asking customers to wait for reviews or community reaction before willfully throwing their money into the corporate coffers of a company, whose morals you obviously despise, is too much to ask. If you are an uninformed consumer, you are as guilty as the publisher trying to pass off this "rush job." The crux of my argument is this: a glamorous game preview filled with praise about what a godsend this amazing game will surely be does not mean you should pre-order it. For tried and tested series like Batman Arkham and Elder Scrolls a pre-order may be in order, but for a game that: A) has Ubisoft as a publisher and B) is a brand new IP you need to have some damn better judgement. I understand you're upset, but it's truly your own fault. Next time don't spend $15 on a whim unless you don't mind wasting $15 and to be honest the game doesn't work as badly as you say and many of the posters here agree. You're supposed to vote with your dollars and while you're blaming my attitude, I didn't actually buy the game. I voted to not support this kind of thing from happening. You complainers on the other hand, by buying this game, you are encouraging Ubi to do it again.

[QUOTE="FelipeInside"] I agree with the mouse control, it could be better.... (still playable) The rest of the game works fine on my rig though....

A game which is "playable" is synonyme of a bad game. Gaming experience is the single and most important thing in an industry with so much competition. Who wants to spend money to get a "playable" game... There's a whole lot of adjectives which can be matched to a playable game, for example barely playable, but I've never seen a "good playable" game.

Well this is a very playable game.... sometimes the mouse will annoy you but other than that I haven't had any other issue.

Weird, I don't get screen tearing (or haven't noticed it)

Ubisoft are jackasses for putting such intrusive drm on such a low budget low priced game to begin with.. To add more injury to insult, it was a slap stick port job too.

What does the price of a game have to do with the anti measures of the company? It's still a Ubisoft product isn't it...?
